Today is Thanksgiving. The store was supposed to close at 5. I drove nearly 30 minutes to arrive at 4:49. I needed one item, bad enough to drive one hour total, there and back. There was some rude girl guarding the entrance when I was literally running to the door, clearly in a hurry. She had her arms crossed at her chest, and said “we are closed” …I of course said, no…you’re actually open until 5. I have eleven minutes to grab the item I need, which I would only need 2 minutes to do. They refused to allow me in the store even after I told them I just drove half an hour. Unbelievable. I called the store and spoke to the manager from the parking lot, who confirmed that they were in fact not allowing people to enter the store during normal business hours. I will be sharing the experience with those higher up in the company. Besides today, my experience has been lousy with this store. Gummy vitamins are melted together into one solid block, they act like you’re trying to scam them even when you bring the bottle back with a receipt, AND bring the remaining ones from the shelf that are also melted. They all have attitude problems, I’m glad I don’t live in Mount gilead anymore so I don’t have to deal with this store as the only option. That’s the only way they have any business, because it’s just a little better than … nothing.
Just walked in to do a very simply print on the printer. The lady literally told me that this brand new expensive printer will not connect to wifi. Basically told me all it does is copy images already printed. Anyone who knows any thing about tech knows that the cheapest printers connect to Wi-Fi. All you have to do is set it up. Either laziness or you really need to get someone in here who know even the smallest bit about tech. I drove clear here because your website says you offer printing services. Super disappointed.
I feel sorry for the people who have to work here. Mount Gilead is the rudest town I've ever lived in. The shoppers have nasty & selfish attitudes overall. The town citizens make this an unpleasant place to shop. Mount Gilead needs to start a campaign to spread a little kindness in their town.
Produce is always rotten. Meat is close to expiration. Shelves dont seem to ever get stocked. I spend 300+ a week on groceries and usually have to bag my own things! I know you just had a job fair did you hire anyone?? When you live in a small town I guess you just deal with it
The music playing in the frozen foods section was far too loud. I had to practically yell to get people next to me to hear what I was saying. It was like being in a bar or at a concert. I just wanted to buy food, not have a party. Nobody was partying, just shopping
It's small so it can feel a little cramped when busy, aside from that I've no issues here.
Forgot my card and can't even get the deals from the venders
Good store except for a few things. The produce is always rotten, the deli will make you sick, and I have personally seen management treat the staff like dogs. How do you expect them to give great service when you are screaming at them over small things that don’t even matter? I’d defiantly like to see an improvement management wise. Other than those things the store is great! Clean,Convenient, and great sales!
Everything you need. Prices aren't terrible. Plenty of parking. Carts are in good shape. Customer service is good. If they went back to a more consumer-friendly and sensible system of merchandising that didn't force you to wander around looking for stuff, they would get 5 stars. For example, coffee and tea should be in the same aisle.
When I use the mobile app like they highly recommend us to you don’t get the full sale price and when I ask a cashier they say they cannot help with the mobile app problems. This is just one of the many times I have ran into this problem.
