Kwantlen Polytechnic University is most highly rated for Work-life balance, and Langara College is most highly rated for Work-life balance. Richmond campus is just 10 minute's walk from Skytrain station.
Ange Frymire Fleming has not formed a habit of cooperating with others, discussing things with them, and listening to different voices. She is a worse teacher and not suitable for this industry.
The security department really need to do more training. One security guard who claimed he has been working as a security guard at the school for over 25 years pointed at student while reminding the school is about to close with very rude tunes. He also said he is a good security guard, but I really doubt that because he doesn’t even know his responsibility at school after working so many years. I understand that he might rush to go home or he might has his days, but it is unacceptable for that attitude towards a student. Especially when the student stay there before closing time. He even yelled at me and said:” students at another building left at 9:30pm, by that time, the building is empty already.” Sounds like he was blaming me not leaving school one hour earlier just like others do and make his job “easier”. Hello? I am a student and I study hard at school somehow impacted his life? Besides, I left the school before the closing time. If a security guard who really worked at the school for over 25 years was trained to help the school creating a worse study environment, treat students with disrespectful behaviour and rush them to go home earlier, the study environment at the KPU is going to be destroyed by security guards like him. And the reputation of KPU in the future???

The staffs are alright. The only thing I will say is that an Asian lady in the library is very impatient when I was talking to her. She sounded so irritated. Sometimes I find other staffs are also rude and impatient. Professors are good if you know how to choose a good one, but staffs sometimes are quite rude and their temper is just written all over their faces.
Their library is well managed, not too many students, quiet space to study
I graduated in 2018 with an accounting diploma and landed an accounting clerk job 2 months after classes ended. The education prepared me for the job. Flash forward to 2021, I've been promoted to a staff accounting job after gaining experience with their software, tax procedures, and accounting procedures like receivables/payables/payroll etc. I feel like if I got the bachelors I would've moved up to a higher position within that same time as companies want people that are CPA eligible for senior and management roles. Currently, I'm satisfied with my job and may pursue the bachelors in the future.
Things very different from now compared to when it was called Kwantlen College and located what's now known as Family Court near Minoru. Its more profit oriented and instructors so-so.
Went here for my covid vaccine. Super organized, friendly staff and the whole process went very quickly. Everthing is sanitized between clients. 30 minutes in and out and that included the 15 minutes self monitoring after the vaccine.
Will agree with some people, not all the instructors are the best. For the most part, I've had great experience with all my profs. Some of them are very inspirational and make learning fun. For those who don't know, KPU has 5 campuses and yes they are small...each campus has their own little programs ex. Cloverdale is the tech school, Langley has music and nursing... I personally love how KPU offers many programs and each program is created to get students to be hands-on. Some of the reviews I see especially the lower ratings are from those who don't know much about the school, in other words aren't the ones spending time using all the FREE resources and services offered to students nor thinking outside the box for the reasons why some teachers do the things they do. hint: read the policy. Will agree, everytime I talk to strangers who don't know much about KPU, they always bring up the rumours... Eventhough all those rumours apply to other institutions. Rumours about international students, limite for intakes had been reduced the past year for them and in reality they don't necessarily affect your education. Like if they do, it's your responsibility to step out and report the issues. Rumours of easy graduating...some profs are easy markers and some are strict. I wouldn't say it's easy to graduate, especially graduating with a 4.0gpa KPU is an amazing school, some of the programs here are way better than other institutions so I'm not saying we are the best school, just that we offer many amazing programs that will give you the experience other schools don't. I've talked to some who transfered out to go to SFU and UBC, they all miss KPU but ofc each school has their pros and cons all great schools. PS, KPU is still growing and improving so much has changed.
