First time food was excellent, usually only get the avocado burger. Tried the chicken fried steak and it and the Mashed Potatoes tasted burned. Love the customer service. Always tip. Food and order never comes out as expected tho. Usually something left out of my bag every time. Aside from that, customer service and workers are awesome and very kind. Have to give the experience a 2 tho. Hard to find decent food here sadly.
Stopped in this quaint little cafe on our road trip for a quick cup of coffee. The waitress was so nice! She had the biggest smile and sweetest personality. Even though we did not need to order food on this trip, I would highly recommend this cafe on the customer service alone. We did take a quick peek at the food menu, which had really good prices and several daily specials.
I always love finding a place with good food like this. Reminds me of mom's cooking. Worth every penny.Food: 4/5
Nice stop for a takeout breakfast burrito. Passed through town and was recommended to grab a burrito here. It was a good sized burrito. Menu item is a select 4 ingredients option. The location is non-descript and clearly caters to locals and provides a place to gather.
It was pretty good the night we ate. Got there a little late but was able to get finished and not rushed out at closing. Thank goodness.

I lived in Las Animas for three years and had never gone to the LA Cafe. I heard it was good. The first time I went I got the chicken fried steak sandwich and thought it was huge. It was even bigger the second time. Service is friendly and the wait is short, but the food is excellent. Go there.
You look at this place and wonder, but the food is really good and it comes out hot and the servers are nice, a little shy I think but friendly. We've had pizza, burgers and fish, and it's all been good. The Monte Cristo is really good, especially with the raspberry sauce,
I think their seatings too tight other than that it's pretty good placeFood: 4/5
Nondescript from the outside, LA cafe features wonderful food and outstanding service. The parking lot was big enough for me to park my truck with a trailer behind it. There's a pool and a park nearby and both look very well-maintained. My meal was outstanding and the cost was low.
