I recently visited this restaurant and was impressed with their extensive breakfast menu and lovely outdoor dining experience. However, I was disappointed to learn that they do not allow strollers, making it inconvenient for families with smaller kids. On a positive note, the Mexican bowl I ordered was delicious, as were the pancakes, although I found them to be overpriced at $15 for only two. On the plus side, the portion sizes were generous. We also tried the tamale, which was decent. The only downside was having to park on the street. Overall, I would not recommend this place for families with strollers, but the food was enjoyable.
Everything here was fantastic. Particularly, the omelets are some of the very best I've had! The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. It's always a bustling place, but wait times weren't too long for walk-ups. I highly recommend this location for a strong start to a day!
Great breakfast and lunch place in Ventura! We spent one night in Ventura and came up with this restaurant on Google with great reviews and we were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The menu selections were very nice. You have to order French quarter beignets, the French doughnuts, they were yummy! Also, I loved their sweet potato biscuit. The decorations and atmosphere in the restaurant were very nice and inviting, too. They have both inside and outside seating areas. We’ll go there again for sure if we’re in the area!
It was the best breakfast we had during our vacation. The pancakes were delicious so was the blueberry crumble and the egg's nouveau. It is decorated beautifully with loving attention to detail. We are looking forward to eating there again.Food: 5/5
This is a several roomed eatery. The spicy sautéed home fries were amazing with a California flavor profile. The eggs benny were cooked as ordered and the hollandaise sauce was rich, thick, homemade. It’s great having an attentive middle aged polite server. Kid-friendliness: Don’t bring a kid here
Wonderful food, great service, cool art. I’d return in a heartbeat. Per the recommendation of our waiter, Jason, I got the breakfast sandwich and the au gratin potatoes. “You’re in for a wonderful morning,” he said. The sandwich and the taters were stunning and would be my own recommendation, were I a waiter at this place—unless you want something sweet. In that case, my girlfriend’s order, the Bananas Foster French Toast, served with a buttered rum and brown sugar flambeau, was delectable. The sauce on the bottom and on the side were almost too good to be eaten as instructed; I wanted to drink the stuff and did, although that was a bit much. It’s the kind of French toast you want to go home and make yourself somehow because it’s just that good, and because I live in Utah and can’t come here more than once a year. Their coffee was also surprisingly delicious, although it wasn’t as hot as I’d like it. It came out warm and cooled quickly. The mugs were very thick—almost uncomfortably thick to drink from—yet, for whatever reason, the coffee didn’t remain hot for long. But the coffee was good enough that the temperature didn’t make a big difference. Across the street is a tree that is overtaking the curb.
Customer service was wonderful. Parking on the street or across there are signs so really easy to access. Food arrived really fast. I would say it’s your basic breakfast spot.
Cozy beautiful and delicious. Banana foster french toast was amazing...and so were the Benevilla Eggs. Everything in the menu looked ama.zing. will definitely come back!Food: 5/5
Went with friends, we both had small dogs. They reserved us a nice secluded and shady table on patio, we were grateful. Waitress was exceptionally sweet, attentive , and patient. I had an omelet and hash browns. The omelet was perfectly cooked, hash browns a bit overdone but still good. All in all it was a good experience and I would return, and recommend to others.
Breakfast was delicious. Large portions. The server was great. No wait for a party of 10.Food: 5/5
