Wonderful place with very good staff… We visited few times… Highly recommend this place… It is a busy place for breakfast on weekends… Croissants are very delicious… Ofcourse their coffee is unbeatable…. We had cappuccinos and we had to ask for extra hot… There are packed drinks and few packed foods…. For a quick grab and go. It is located in a nice corner in a kind of strip mall.. so parking is quite busy.. Restrooms are neat and clean
First time trying this coffee shop. I ordered a dirty chai hot “oat milk”. I watched the barista pour whole milk into my drink. I spoke up with my concern and he and the other employee who wasn't even around when the guy was making my drink insisted that it was made with oatmilk. The lady was very aggressive with a nasty tone. I don't know if she was a manager or not, but I didn't want to cause a disturbance so I just left. She was a plus-size African-American woman on the taller side maybe 5’8. I'm currently experiencing stomach pain my drink was made with whole milk as I stated. Perhaps it was a mistake, but this was handled completely wrong. I really didn't want to argue and I should not have to.
La Colombe has been a consistent stop for me for close to a decade even over the pandemic when they only offered take out. The coffee and espresso is excellent, there’s a good selection of teas, and the baked goods, while pricey, are quality. There has never been WiFi at La Colombe nor have they ever advertised it at any location, to my knowledge. People who do work at this cafe, like myself, get creative if they need WiFi - they either piggy-back off of another nearby business or use a mobile hotspot. For most of us, it’s honestly never been a problem, so reading all the negative reviews that are WiFi related are a little annoying. The 4/5 star review is related to a few recent experiences that have made it less pleasant to sit or work in the space. This location recently underwent some repairs and got a giant ceiling fan installed to help circulate air. While it’s normally fine, there have been a few times where it’s been turned up unnecessarily high, to the point where it’s unpleasant to sit under it and napkins are blowing off of tables. There have also been moments where a staff member is playing music in the kitchen at such a volume that it is audible underneath the music that is playing in the cafe/dining space. Not only has this been incredibly annoying, but for my friend with an auditory processing disability, it has also been very distressing. Posting here as part of the review in the hopes that it can be addressed.
The Philadelphia Original where the La Colombe brand was born. A coffee lovers dream. Authentically prepared in an open barista bar. You won't find all the frozen, blended smothered in whipped cream trash you'll find elsewhere. Delicious coffee options prepared in modern traditional fashion. The Seasonal Gingerbread Scone was delicious. The Draft Latte and Hot Latte were creamy, delicious, goodness. Parking: You may need to park behind the building but generally available. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramped entrance. Accommodating store floor and restrooms.
I’ve been grabbing a coffee here at the least, weekly, for over 6 months now and I’ve gotta say it is worth the 20 minute drive. The staff are so lovely especially Abe, who memorized my drink order after only a week and the service is always quick & friendly. It’s the perfect place to stay and read/journal, or if you’re on the go, as I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my drink once ordered. The pastries and other options in the fridge are incredible as well, with the Caprese Sandwhich & Overnight Oats. Definitely recommend the almond croissant as well if you don’t mind getting a little messy. Dietary restrictions: Dairy free options, vegetarian and vegan options. Parking: Spots vary depending on time of day, but there’s always usually a spot up front or directly next to the building on lancaster. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp & Wide walkways inside.
Got some work done this morning while my wife was at an appt. Calm atmosphere with good vibes. The lady working the front register was awesome! Best cortado I’ve had since being in Spain. 10/10 would recommend.
I love their Cortado ~ always made consistently with just the right amount of crème make sure you order it to stay. It tastes better in a glass or porcelain cup rather than a paper cup!Food: 4/5
The person taking orders is definitely unhappy with his role at the store. It was an unpleasant interaction, as his disgust was absolutely obvious when taking our order. The store was out of caramel for a frozen drink we have ordered before, but the attendant was so rude, inappropriately rushing my daughter to chose another drink, even though there was no one waiting in line behind us. $8 dollars wasted tax and tip included.
I ordered a draft latte last week, but I received a cup full of foam instead of coffee. The coffee cup was as light as a feather. I complained to a male staff member about it, but he claimed he didn't know anything about it. However, it's hard to believe that he wouldn't notice when he was making the coffee. As a coffee barista myself, I know that it's not an excuse. I don't want to think that it's racial discrimination, but it still makes me feel upset. Anyway Thank you for making me another cup of coffee regardless.
Great coffee, it was almost an experience with the way they serve it. I got an iced mocha and it was much better taste wise, but price competitive with Dunkin/Starbucks. The seating area has a great atmosphere although they are not the comfiest. Great place to meet someone and catch up, or do work.
