So we’ve been members of LA Fitness for a very long time now and yesterday was our first time at this location. Well we saw it was a signature series and thought this will be great. Well let us tell you this is by far the dirtiest, and worse LA Fitness that we’ve ever been to. You walk in and this place is so small. Okay great they offer you a towel. Who cares about a towel. This is supposed to be a signature series gym this was not. Weights were all over the place. On the floor, on the equipment. The seat was broke on the rowing machine, the Boz back by the cable had a hole in the lid. Around the walls you can see discoloration from the dirt. My wife went into the women’s restroom and it was filthy like a rest stop restroom. When I went into take a shower there was a towel on the floor covered in dirt just sitting there. The basket for the used towels was overflowing and the guy cleaning the floor was just using a wet mob. No bucket to ring the mop out . So basically just moving the dirt around. And if you saw this dirty towel that was in the floor you would see what I mean. What a let down and disappointment from this gym. With all the amazing gyms to go To in the area we were surprised that this had as many people working out here. Go Somewhere else you will be happy you did
Decent LA fitness with free parking if you validate. It can get quite busy during peak times and there’s only one single bench to do a bench press and a limited selection of equipment versus larger locations. 2 squat racks which was impressive. The gym is relatively clean and the staff are polite. I’ve been here about 5 times as a day-pass used $20 a time. However, it’s a good all-around gym considering the Beverly Hills location where space is at a premium.
Staff has always been helpful and friendly until they got this CHRIS, that’s the second time he is rude and annoying! I just cane to make exercise and this guy ruined all my experience! I pay 31 dollars a months for barely two visits and now I don’t even feel like it’s worthy.
LaFitness Wilshire is an exceptional fitness center that has truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted by friendly staff members who were always ready to assist. The facility is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for my workouts. The range of equipment is extensive, catering to various fitness needs and goals. The group exercise classes are top-notch, led by skilled instructors who keep me motivated and engaged. Additionally, the pool and spa area provide a relaxing escape after a challenging workout. The overall atmosphere at LaFitness Wilshire is energizing, with a diverse and inclusive community of members. I appreciate the convenient hours and the abundance of amenities offered. This gym has truly become my go-to fitness destination, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a positive and fulfilling workout experience.
I don’t know how else to say this but this location is a joke. The parking is confusing and creepy, they should add signs. It’s so small, there isn’t enough equipment or space. Everyone is so close to each other and I don’t know why but the moment I walked in the location it felt so moist in the bathrooms felt worse. The worse part was blood on the on the 2nd floor and people walked by it like it was normal. Will definitely not return to this location.
The prices are reasonable, but they need to hire an operations manager. Many of their machines are either broken or produce ear-splitting noises. Despite providing the machine numbers or seeing "under repair" signs, the machines never seem to get fixed. Their cleaning crew are active and have a friendly front desk team. However the essential which is the machines are not well maintain or even repair hence 2 stars.
They have progressively lowered the AC over the course of years to the point where the inside of the gym itself is about 80 degrees. It's ridiculously hot, and impossible to do a decent workout. The front desk gives different excuses, but basically it's clear management decided to do this to save costs. This aside from the smaller cramped location makes this one to avoid.
Been at this gym for a while and its decent . Though the gym is located in Beverly hills. The members of this gym are mostly kids who come in bunches and take over the machines or they are from skid row like the guy in the pic. He stomped on all the machines. I even saw him climbing up a chest machine and dirtying the whole gym including rubbing his sweat on machines. I wonder if covid spread from this gym. Complete avoid.
Roughly 1/2 the size of any of the 15-20 LAFs I’ve been to around the country, no water fountains, and so packed at 2:30 that I couldn’t finish a normal back/bi’s workout in 75 mins, and the desk staff threw attitude b/c I wasn’t a “Signature” member. I read a couple reviews before I arrived and assumed they were disgruntled prima donnas, but outside of hotel gyms, this is maybe the worst I’ve been to.
I’ve been going to this gym for 10 years, I just called to talk about my renewal and to come in. It’s my first time back since covid. I basically paid for half a year and never came in due to covid and not wanting to workout in a mask. The lady who answered the phone, Deanna was the worst. Before I called her, I accidentally called the miracle mile gym who were so much better than this lady at my home gym. The miracle mile team was positive, encouraging, a welcome back attitude but it was the wrong gym. It’s too far for me to go too. Deanna, who was negative, wouldn’t let me come in until I renewed and when I shared the miracle mile teams pleasant response, she had disregard, didn’t care and hung up the phone. I went from being motivated to getting back into the gym to being frustrated by this terrible person’s attitude and lack of customer service. Update, I just found out Deanna is the general manager and that’s how she talks to the clientele. Wow. Terrible. I’m reporting her to corporate. The way she treats people, she is in the wrong field. Still the worst LA fitness in the area, I have been going hear for years as part of the signature member and today they wanted to charge me for towels. They have this massive leak that’s been here for days with their “towels” they are running short on and wanted to charge me for.
