This has become my everyday gym. It really doesn't matter what time I come here; I can always get in a great workout. Never too busy that I can't find machines or weights. The staff is amicable, and the gym is clean. Chris, the GM, is fantastic. Everyone here does a wonderful job. I appreciate how close this gym is to everything—centrally located for us on the west side. Definitely check it out.
Dear Corporate Team- It’s time to reinvest some money back into this gym. It’s in desperate need of a facelift, deep cleaning, and new 2022 equipment. I’ve been going to this gym for about 15 years Golds Gym and I feel like I’m using 75% of the same equipment. The place is dirty, the equipment is RUSTED stairmasters, treadmills, the pool needs to be resurfaced badly, the women’s private area is sad and depressing. It’s like they put all the barely working machines and the gyms first set of weighted equipment in the women’s private gym. The sauna needs to be updated, the wood benches looks like they’ve never been scrubbed down. The children’s area can be transformed into something else Pilates room?? wasted empty space just sitting there. You have machines with TVs that don’t even work. With all the new gyms opening with cheaper prices, new equipment and better hours, it’s making me want to leave and find something new. Richmond Rd is expanding and becoming a new health and wellness area of town. This is the closet gym to that area. I can guarantee, with some major updates and renovations, you will increase your sales and revenue. Us consumers are seeing all these fitness people on FB and IG using more updated effective equipment and then we walk into 2010 equipment and feel the need to leave and find something newer. I do love the size of the gym, movie room, indoor walking, open rec area and smoothie shop….but it’s time. I keep thinking each new owner will update the facility and it’s not happening. I toured Planet Fitness today and was blown away on the amount of clean, updated equipment this gym had. I would also be paying 20.00 less than what I’m paying for now with 24 hour access. This gym has so much potential, let’s get it back to the elite gym of Lexington! Thank You for your time.
I love this gym! Tons of great equipment and if any machines are out of order they get them fixed quickly. Huge perks are women’s only fitness area, cardio cinema room treads, ellipticals with projector playing a different movie daily, and indoor lap pool. I’ve taken a few classes and enjoyed those as well. Great gym with tons of space. Even when busy, doesn’t seem crowded. Would definitely recommend.

In my opinion this is the best gym in lex, they have a huge variety of machines for every body group, punching bags, sauna, and a pool. On top of that the crew is amazing, Lisa and Chris will take great care of you.
Pool is filthy or so badly stained it would scare me to get in it and locker rooms are not cleaned well. have to be verified with a picture, because I guess they can’t figure out the fraud thing. Every other gym you get a key tag. Not this one. Racquet ball court is constantly under repair or unusable. Weights are left in cardio area, against walls for days, while cleaners just walk by them . Only reason we joined was the indoor walking track in the winter and then we went to cancel, this is the response we got. Hi, For membership cancellation we ask that members visit any Esporta or LA Fitness location while the Operations Manager is present, between the hours of 9am-6pm Monday-Thursday or 8am-5pm Friday. If this does not work for the member, they can also mail in their cancellation request via certified mail. Thanks, I guess ops manager is the only person who can press the delete button. Funny, you can sign up on the app and pay electronically but if I want to leave, evidentially you have to have exit counseling. Sadly they still play the game of hiding terms in small print and being next to impossible to reach to cancel so they can just continue to bill you. They are the last of a line of companies who have just bought the others failing gyms. So I’ll enjoy watching this one fail eventually also, and become a Planet Fitness. then we will have one on our side town.
Equipment is definitely on the older side and the gym stays pretty busy for regulars use. However, staff is amazing, sauna is great, and the trainers seam genuinely interested in helping you reach your goals. As long as you go in to cancel in person, it’s very easy to do so. Not something you see to often in the gym industry.
Good gym! Could use a two or three more squat racks so there would be a little less wait time for equipment to open up. Otherwise though, a good place to workout!
Wonderful facility, great equipment. Very spacious and well staffed. Chris and the team are great, they always fix equipment quickly.
