The gym is not a bad gym, the equipment is dated but they are well maintained. What’s not acceptable is 90% of the gym goers, no one reracks their weights, if they wipe down the equipment after use they just throw the paper towels on the ground, you assume a machine isn’t being used and then you have some one who’s on the opposite side of the gym come up to you and say they are using the machine. This behavior should not be tolerated, staff should enforce the gym rules so the gym isn’t a mess. The gym itself gets a 5 star, but the way it is run it’s a 1 star.
Restock the barbells and I'll happily change to 5 stars. This is one of the more dated LA gyms in the metro. I go to Cumberland and a few others depending on where I have to work. Unfortunately this is the closest to my house. I just want the same equipment as other LA gyms in the area.
Employees are 5-star! Now sometimes, a member would do weird stuff in locker room leave behind underwear or hair. But the overall vibe of the gym is cool.
I went there on a free 3-day pass on my first visit I was only there for about 10 minutes and I got a phone call from my boss that said we had an early meeting so I had to leave the lady took told me to come back later that day that was sitting up front and when I got there the salesperson said you've already been here once today you can't come again today and I explained to him what took place that morning and he said that doesn't matter you can't use the facilities tonight. When he could have just easily said oh I understand go ahead and work out but he didn't so I chose not to go with this organization
This gym has changed my life more than anyone could ever imagine. The staff works so hard to maintain it, even though it can be hectic at times. The team at this L.A FITNESS is trying their absolute best to take care of this gym!!!! But for some reason, it just seems like CORPORATE doesn't invest any time or money into it. The machines are ridiculously old. The spa and sauna STILL haven't been fixed, and there are MANY weights missing. These things are beyond the employees control. I wish the guests understood that...
The general manager Benaiah E is very unprofessional and should be fired! He harassed me when I came to the gym. I asked Mr.Benaiah to unfreeze my account. Instead of him following protocol, He told me he would see how he could get me in the gym without charge and without having to unfreezing my account I did not ask him to do this. After I declined the offer and told him Im a successful business woman that have money, and can pay whatever to get my account unfrozen he got mad, and said that my attitude was nasty and he was only trying to help me not pay. Then he told me to leave the gym . I told him I would report him to cooperate for kicking me out for no reason because I did not cause any disturbance, my tone the whole time was normal. I continued to ask him for his name and that's when he called the police and LIED saying I was acting out . I will like footage of this event. This was very unfortunate because I just started my fast and just wanted to workout. The general Manager Benaiah E. used the little power and dominance he had to try to humiliate me, all because I wanted professionalism and did not want his "general manager free deals" in exchange to hit on me . I would not recommend going to this gym.
Ok they need to do better on having towels to clean off the machines especially with all the viruses going on I've been a member too long if I'm paying for the gym the need to have the equipment plus the towels to wipe the equipment down come on now la fitness get it together
Nothing works ie. Sauna or jacuzzi. Gym smell nasty,not clean. Paid for kids club but couldnt use it they were at capacity = poor planning during peak hours. Quality of service just POOR.
They cannot keep the southlake ga. location functional. The mens sauna and the whirlpool have been down for over 2 weeks. No one knows when it will be fixed. Not good!
PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS GYM! First y’all need to be opening an LA Fitness around here is over crowded I had to wait 10 MINUTES TO USE THE MATS what’s ridiculous because there’s just two mats areas why there’s no mats to take in the class area!? Equipment is missing like bar covers and ropes etc the answer front of the gym is being your own equipment SO IM PAYING almost $500 a year to use my own equipment??? Machines are out of service all the time and because there’s so many people they squeezed equipment together I literally hurt my head with the back extension because the equipment was way to close! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO SOMETHING I HAD BROUGH a lot of people to train with me but no one wants to subscribe, because of the mess here! I moved from Jersey and loved LA fitness there so I know the quality that can offer the one in Conyers is really nice is just too far for me.
