I’ve seen a LOT of negative reviews and I guess I understand but either we must’ve gotten a good room or everybody else got a really bad room - it was super convenient we needed a room last minute - 2 AM!! and they were able to get us in no problem with a great price, the room was very clean and didn’t have much of a scent unlike what others have said, you get what you pay for. The sheets did have a stain that looked kind of like concealer or foundation, and some other things had spots like the lampshade / curtains but it is what it is. Shower wasn’t used but no mold like others have said no trash or other things in the room to show others were here. Beds droop in to the center, but they’re pretty comfortable. Ice machine didn’t work, but room had microwave and mini fridge which was nice! The door has a gap underneath so you can hear / see people walking by or in the hallways. Not super cramped at all, good size room, person at front desk was nice. We came in late at around 2 am and we’re able to get the room for the same date meaning we wouldn’t have the check out until the next date which was awesome! Not bad at all for the price!! Great price and room was just fine :
Never again will I ever stay at a place managed by Wyndham. I specifically chose La Quinta for its proximity to the airport and the Mall of America. The fact that they offered shuttle service to and from both locations seem to be a convenience but they only offered it from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. back and forth to the mall. They have a sign posted in the lobby declaring that they will only clean your room once every 3 days so much for cleanliness. Do you want fresh towels bring them to the front desk and exchange them yourself that is the only way. When I booked I thought I was getting an accessible room. Surprise I didn't. It is supposed to be a smoke-free environment. the linens on the bed smelled of smoke. When I complained I was told I would have to live with it there was nothing that they can do they do not make Hotel policy but only abide by it. At this point was I shocked or surprised no!!!. I really wish that I could give a fair rating to this place but unfortunately there is nothing less than -0 in all fairness I must say that the staff is excellent but when you are working with one hand tied behind your back there is not much you can do without jeopardizing your job. Wyndham Hotels home operates and manages a number of properties under different names is responsible. I can tell you one thing I will never stay in any property associated with the name Wyndham. I had to give it a rating of one star only because the system would not allow me to post without a rating. The rating system needs to be revamped I should not be obligated to post a rating higher than that which is deserves zero is too high of a rating
Mediocre at best. Property is rather rundown. Gang symbols on door signage. The same door that was broken our entire stay. Had a 2 bed room for myself and my daughter, but the room only had 2 smaller bath towels, 2 hand towels and 1 washcloth. The bathroom also had less than 1 roll of tp. We really didn't feel safe. Drug deals in the parking lot. Do not recommend!!
The rooms smell old, carpet dirty and smells. I had to change rooms because I think it had bed bugs. They said they were " upgrading me to a suite. HA! THE DIFFERENCE IS TWO BEDS INSTEAD OF ONE. Now this room, when I pulled the sheets back... there's hair everywhere, black little somethings. Just nasty. Wyndham Rewards should NOT charge $15,000 points for this hotels it should only be $7500. This place looks like a Halfway house. Never again. NEVER
I'm so glad we only stayed one night. Had to change rooms because of various things in the room not functioning including the heating/cooling. The room we ended up in had mold all over the shower and had items on the floor from previous guests. At one point a complete stranger came into our room! Will never stay here again.Rooms: 1/5
Was easy to get to by Metro Transit but had to walk a couple of blocks. Hard to tell where the front of the building is because main signs are on the side. Rooms were nice, there were two lamps, an end table, two beds, a fridge, microwave, desk, two chairs, phone as well as Ethernet connections and wifi. The rooms were relatively clean, but the carpet was old. Service was good, but no cash drawer at front desk for people to get changed for the vending machines. Several near by fast food and regular restaurants.
Customer service here was good. The room we had was the reason I gave 2 stars. It was not clean. The headboards had splashes of something on it which had dried. The towels in the bathroom had stains on it. The bedsheets had some sort of yellow stain. The vents had very visible dust collecting. If you have allergies or a expect a clean environment.. this isn’t for you.
Check-in was relatively easy--I booked directly on their site. The room was pretty small and the bathtub did not drain properly. Mentioned it to staff but they didn't seem to care much about doing their jobs... The hallway smelled musty but at least the room didn't.Rooms: 2/5
We arrived just after a snowstorm, so the lot wasn't plowed much. We stayed one night. Flew out the next day. The quality of the room was below par. The floors were not properly vacuumed and a few other things. We flew out the next day and came back 5 days later as our car was parked in there lot. When we called to have a shuttle, pick us up, we had a hard time getting a hold of someone to pick us up. When we finally made it back to the hotel, the condition of the lot was the same. Snow was still an issue. The shuttle drivers to and from the airport were pleasant.
Well, it's a place to stay. The rooms are mostly fine. They aren't dirty or smelly or anything, and the furniture and stuff looks reasonably new, but the air conditioner was very disruptive to my sleep because it kept cycling on and off without an option to keep the fan on. Also there's no elevator, so if you have a heavy bag or mobility issues, you better hope you're on the first floor of this gigantic building. There are free airport/mall shuttles, but the schedule is not necessarily convenient and the airport shuttle was 45 minutes late picking us up. The one of the front desk people was consistently rude and unhelpful, making me not want to ask further questions. The breakfast did exist, but the options were limited and there was nothing hot cereal, yogurt, packaged pastries. Overall, it was a budget motel that technically provided all of the things they said they do, but never went out of their way to make it a better experience
