La Union Restaurant

Description

It was a landmark year in 1998. Washington National Airport was renamed to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The film Titanic won a record 11 Oscars at the 70th Academy Awards. It was Michael Jordan's last game as a Bull after clinching his 6th NBA title. That same year, Zoila and David opened up a little Mexican-Salvadoran restaurant on the outskirts of a small town named Arlington. It has been a historic 10+ years filled with memories and traditions.

Our restaurant features authentic and traditional Mexican-Salvadoran dishes, many of which have come from family recipes dating back to 1922. Our distinctive menu offers classics such as our tasty corn tamales, enchiladas, and sizzling fajitas. Amenities include a full service bar, carryout and catering.

La Union is committed to serving its guests and local communities and believes in providing great food using ingredients at an affordable price. La Union also believes their guests are part of the family and will continue serving the community for years to come.

I’d give a four and a half if I could! Friendly service in a cool spot. Food is quite good but not superb. But the refried beans and steak and enchiladas are really borderline five star if not five. I have a four as the pupusas are not nearly as good as elsewhere.Food: 4/5
It's in a small plaza off the road. The server was very nice and took our temperature when we got there. She got us chips and salsa on the house. We got horchata and it tasted good. I ordered pupusas and 1 taco to try out their food. I liked it. The pupusas was at a good price of $2 each. The place is clean and laid-back ambiance. I think this is a nice place to enjoy Hispanic food at a reasonable price.
Good food and great staff. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is cozy. The food is also good. Prices are great compared to other local restaurants in the same area, and the horchata was fresh and tasted great unlike another restaurant down the street..Food: 5/5
Very awesome hole in the wall. Waiter told us about an off menu margarita. Was the perfect touch for Cinco De Mayo. Even better it came in a glass with a catus stem see image. Highly recommend the chicken enchiladas, and cheese papusa. Incredibly filling, well priced and great service. :
I visited La Union Restaurant on Mothers day. I had a great time with my mother and sisters total of 6. The place is small but cozy. Decorations are cute. Bathrooms are clean. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Food was delicious I had El Tipico the steak was tender cooked to my liking. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Overall service was great and prices are very reasonable. I will definitely visit again.
We enjoyed our meal and the service was good. I had grilled whole red snapper, it was perfectly grilled. Crispy skin with tender meat and the seasonings was on point. We are definitely returning soon. Joe thanks for checking on us.
The food was great and will be ordering again soon, I just missed to take photos so I will definitely take photos next time and add it to this post.Food: 5/5
A beautiful melange of flavors with meat cooked to perfection. The ambiance is humble and locals seem to know that this is a gem only minutes outside ballston. This is not chain made tex Mexican food. Eager to try it again.
Not a bad spot for pupusas. They are thick and pretty stuffed. We also had the enchilada salvadoreña and it was good. The tamal de elote was delicious. Pastelitos de carne were too thick for my liking. Unlike a lot of places you cannot see the kitchen from the dining room. Parking is limited but there is some on the front and side
No doubt in my mind I’ll be coming back here. Our waiter was down to earth, funny and sold us when he said his grandmother and dad were there cooking the food. Be sure to come give this place a shot!
