Purchased a sectional sofa and dining table/chairs, after 7-months waiting they arrived. BROKEN. One dining chair had a large crack, another broke leg split on 4th day & another had a nail protruding through frame into backrest and the table has staple they’re trying to pass an a dry stain clump I know the difference; electric sofa recliner leg rest broke on second lift; chaise recliner not assembled properly, doesn’t align and reclines at an angle; sectional recliners not assembled properly causing both to lock together and not return to upright position; non-reclining sectional back as with most others not assembled properly backrest bolt missing. Service Desk has 50+ minutes hold time and never returns calls. Eight repairs calls in 4-months and still not 100% fixed. Beyond disappointed, consulting lemon law options. AVOID.
Jeffrey was amazing because he did everything to help me find a way to afford what I was looking for. I do want to say, that as a customer on a budget, it really would have helped me to know that the store was going to have CLEARANCE furniture during their up coming sale. I have had so many experiences where different sales people will always stear you away from, or not tell you about the "really good" sale prices, so they can make as much money off of you as possible. So I happened to go back to the store on Labor Day, and found, on my own a very nice couch, and chair on clearance. All on all, after Jeffrey helped me with my invoice, after being over charged and left without the items I thought I was getting, by the manager I had a good experience.
My initial visit to select a recliner was excellent. I chose a chair and decided to purchase the chair the next day. When I returned, the original salesperson wasn’t there. But I had been told to speak to another individual. She was working with several people and so couldn’t work with me upon my arrival. It was a long wait to purchase the chair. I had hoped to be in and out quickly!! Overall, the showroom was great. The chair I purchased is perfect!!
Only gave a 3 star. Because of the sales person. She was not a good listener!!! We gave her info on what we wanted and a few minutes later she’d ask a question about what we had just mentioned. I’ve been in customer service and sakes forever. #1 rule is to listen. Wish we would have dealt with the manager as we had talked to him the day before and really liked him. Unfortunately Saturday was his day off. The furniture I would most definitely give a 5 star!!!!
UPDATE I initially gave 5 stars however my sofa had to be replaced due to fabric being loose and you could pull it up with your hand. I’m on my second sofa and recently a spring broke. I called customer service they came out and ordered parts. The repair person that came out to put in the parts told me that the couch had problems underneath and was not made correctly. Customer service would not assist me at all. All they want to do is keep replacing parts. I asked for a manager twice and was refused. Their quality and customer service as definitely declined. Like another person said, you can get better furniture at Big Lots.
Lemme preface my review by saying that my family has been buying La-Z-Boys for generations, and I personally started this buying process 2 years ago taking my time to find exactly what is right for my family and our space. That said the Costa Mesa showroom was by far THEE BEST showroom I’ve been to in California. Aside from the obvious, superb quality products, they also had the BEST GUEST SERVICE! Hands down! BEST. SERVICE. >>>>>Alberto<<<<< was our sales-person & we couldn’t have asked for a better professional to help us. They were thorough, kind, and attentive. We left feeling wonderful about our $6K purchase and we knew we had finally gotten exactly what we wanted. No settling, no gimmicks, and no hassling us while we shopped. I can’t say enough good things about this location. Go to it! You won’t be sorry, even if you’re closer to another one that may or may not be near a mall in another city MAKE THE DRIVE AND COME TO COSTA MESA! You’ll be more than happy you did.
We visited Lazy Boy and we were impressed with the quality and the service that was provided by Tania, she listen to what we were looking for and pointed us to the most comfortable couch which was also available in a different fabric and other options. She made an Appt with her designer, Rosha who came to our home, took measurements and designed pieces that we loved. They both are a Great asset to this company!!!
Paulina is the best! She was meticulous with us, explaining all the different options of recliners for our needs. She was patient and took the time to take us around the showroom multiple times, until we felt completely satisfied with our final decision on our recliners. She made the process painless, and she was not pushy the way some salespeople can be. While La-Z-Boy is not the cheap for your budget, the investment will be worth it to add furniture to your home that will last decades. Your money will be well spent because it is the Mercedes Benz of luxury couches. We ended up getting 3 recliners in a custom leather color with all the trimmings, including power and memory foam, as well as cup holders and plugs for our iPhones. We are completely satisfied. Thank you Paulina for all your excellent help for my parents and me! You represent La-Z-Boy very well.
Great sales experience with Tania. She helped us find what exactly what we were looking for. The delivery service was also very good and we love our new La Z Boy chair. I drive out of my way to visit the Costa Mesa store. They consistently provide excellent service!
I had an awesome experience at La-Z-Boy Costa Mesa !! Recently my grandma’s La-Z-Boy recliner motor wore out, and I was desperately looking for a replacement that could get to her ASAP. She is 87 years old and has limited mobility, so she depends on that chair for sleeping comfortably and helping her on her feet. Now instead of having to wait 4-6 weeks for an internet delivery, the wonderful associates helped me to get her one in only 5 days! Thank you Jeffrey Castillo and the rest of the associates at La-Z-Boy Costa Mesa, you are awesome!! -Mandie Lujan
