How to Consign
6 simple steps to consigning at Labels
Know what we look for:
-We look for contemporary women's (including maternity) and children's clothing with up-to-date styles (within the last 3 years) in excellent condition. Items with holes, stains or strong odors will NOT be accepted. We are much more selective on inexpensive brands such as Forever 21, H&M, and Old Navy.
-Items are accepted seasonally. When in doubt, bring it in and we'll let you know if we'd take it at a later time.
-We also take shoes, handbags, belts, scarves, and costume jewelry.
-Only higher-end children's clothing brands are accepted, such as Mini Boden, Hanna Andersson, Crewcuts, and Nordstrom brands. Sizes newborn through 10/12 sell best.
2. Call to schedule an appointment. Consignments are made by APPOINTMENT ONLY and can be made every day of the week during business hours.
3. Get your items ready. Women's clothing must be clean and brought in on hangers or folded nicely in shopping bags (NO large boxes or suitcases please!). Children's clothing must be clean and may be brought in shopping bags.
4. Bring in your items. We make our selection based on what we feel will sell best. Items are usually kept in the store between 6 to 8 weeks.
5. Get paid!
-Both parties will receive 50% of the selling price.
-Consigners have the option of picking up a check, leaving a self-addressed, stamped envelope to have it mailed, or using in-store credit.
-Checks are issued every other month on the 1st (Jan 2, Mar 1, May 1, July 1, etc).
6. Take care of leftovers. If any of your items do not sell, you can opt to have them donated to charity or arrange to pick them up.
We look forward to doing business with you!
