If i could give negative stars, I would. All of these negative reviews are spot on. The cardiology dept. is the worst. Dr. Draper especially. It took 4 months to get appt. with a life threatening problem i have and he just said if you have a problem go to emergency room. Also it took 4 months to get echocardiogram. Julie who does echo was so inept, she couldn't even administer fluid with a needle into vein, she actually was trying to find vein from inside my arm, she kept moving it around inside. Dr. Drapers administrative assistant, Katy, is just as rude as he is. It trickle's down from the top. Hear tells he is doing one or both of them. He sticks up for them when they do something wrong against the patient. . Make sure to bow., talk about putting themselves on a pedestal. He was wrong about so many medical issues. I got different answers from other doctors . Qualified doctors, who know much more. First appt. he wouldn't let me talk, he said he didn't want to hear me say anything. He never answered any thing on the portal, ever, the entire 4 months.. Stay far away from this incompetent place. I had great improvement with juicing for stage 4 cancer, diagnosed 3 years ago and dr. piper talked me into taking letrozole hormone blocker, only conventional treatment i agreed to and it caused me to have heart attack. Dr. piper said i don't know what caused your heart attack. I asked him what the side affects were and he said a few hot flashes and a bit tired, that's it. I had to dig really deep but i found all of the cardiovascular problems that hormone blockers cause. Piper would not admit that it caused me to have heart attack. They stick up for big pharma like no end to it. So much incompetence going on there. Karplinski, heart surgeon, is another incompetent, I wouldn't have her touch me with a 10 foot pole. She had Asleigh sitting in the room staring at my breasts, sooo creepy and disgusting. I kept asking who she was and they wouldn't tell me and said she had to be their. BULL. They lie like there is no end to it.
Got sent here from urgent care Care Well in Peabody which was awful . However, lahey made the horrible experience much better . Wait was not too long for an ER and once I was in the room I was seen pretty quick. Urgent care misdiagnosed and jumped the gun while they looked for actual clinical signs ! Really great doctor-personable and empathetic given the uneducated choice of Care well to send me here. The nurse was awesome believe her name is Hannaha Very sweet and explained dc paperwork in depth . Gave me a steroid which REALLY helped with the pain .
As far as my experience in the emergency room, I never had a problem. The doctors were very informative and the nurses were very nice. Unfortunately, when you check in there is one woman that works there that is so rude she should not be working behind the counter, she knows who she is give everybody an attitude when checking in, also when I called about a billing dispute, some other woman answer the phone there must’ve been her she is rude and should not work there
Waited months for an appointment that I was told was approved by the head of neurology only to see a nurse practitioner, not even a doctor, who tried to immediately dismiss me from her office based on my reason for the appointment. I was sent away with no help and was told to re-diagnosis my chronic illness I have already previously been diagnosed with. What an absolute joke, not to mention a huge waste of time and money. My appointment should have just denied if they were unable to help based on my referral, clearly they’re in it for your money and not your health.
Emergency room refused to do blood work on my mom who was having extreme headaches, a high fever, coughs, and chest pain, dizzy and weakness. They wanted her PCP to send in an order and she’s booked through the end of September. Their emergency room is negligent and doctor Ping Lien was nonchalant about her care.
My husband went there for emergency wrist surgery. The doctors and Julie on the 5th floor were awesome! The only negative thing was the rude operator. I called for an update and this woman was horrible to me! I work for a hospital and was appalled!
First bad things, getting to this facility made me go around in circles for 20 minutes. The building doesn't give you the number that's contained in the referral. The entry into the building is all to cumbersome unlike the one in Burlington. The good things:. Once you find a place parking and handicap parking is free. It's right off route 128 North. It's right next to the mall. The people are generally very kind and helpful including everybody. I got there early so they sent me to the lab almost an hour and change before my schedule and then I went for my second examination. Both people who served me were very competent and very professional and very informative. There's a cafeteria downstairs on the right as you go in. There are plenty of bathrooms. And the insist on masks and as in all Leahy clinics, they ask you to take off your mask and they give you a brand new one which you must wear while you're on the facility. In walking around they take great precautions to keep the place sanitized and clean. This staff appears very capable and very competent except that that I got the test results without an explanation and I always detest that and I told by messaging the doctor that I want to know what these tests mean. This was 11:00 this morning and now it's 7:14 p.m. and I've heard nothing. I think it's really malpractice to not explain the results to you just to send you numbers. I find that here and I also find it in Burlington.
This clinic sweeps seniors under the rug and tells them to find their own specialists.. Sending seniors home on a heavy medicated regimen .. not knowing if the elderly person lives by themselves.. and Not caring.. my mother had an allergic reaction .. not anaphylactic in nature however.. she has tried to contact them numerous times and was told to go find her own specialist.. whilst her health continues to decline for a few other maladies.. Ignoring the chief complaint. They should be sued for misfeasance Period.
Omg! i went here yesterday in burlington at the high recommendation of someone. i actually had several people speak highly and even say they "saved their life". i saw DR. Tina ellias- Todd. first she seemed disinterested from the start. then she asked my husband and son to leave the room for the exam. i thought nothing of it at the time. while she did diagnose me with fibromyalgia, as far as sjorgens, which a dr at mass eye and ear suspected. i personally never heard of it before. since eight months ago my antibody bloodwork was normal, she said she couldnt diagnose me with it even though i told her how my symptoms had progressed i told her everything. i even typed up everything for her to see. while she hesitantly agreed to re-do that bloodwork, she outright REFUSED a lip biopsey, a "early sjorgens panel" and basicly id get a follow up "only id bloodwork warrants it" . i know now she purposely had my husband and son leave the room so she could do this to me as my husband NEVER would have let her get away with it . then she said she couldnt diagnose me with sjorgens comparing it to the color of the wall. she said the wall is white and i cant call it green. my pure exhaustion, im practically bed bound, she blamed on sleep apnea!!!! the original bloodwork she did agree to do but she acted like she knew what the results would be. that lab tech didnt tell me when she was doing it then when my blood was being drawn 3-4 of her collegues came in asking her what flavor bubbly she wanted. you can get complications from sjorgens and i was refused even the other tests for it!!!! while she referred me to the paion clinic there for my fibro, she said you cant make a appt now you have to wait 1-2 weeks for them to call you! it was a friday she knew my trigger points were very tender because she said so no help for weeks well i let my pcp know and i am not no way ever going back there! and i would never recommend lahey. it was the worst!
This place should be called "health don't care" instead of healthcare. I booked a primary care appointment and had to wait months for it. Two days before I noticed I didn't get any notifications so I look in MyChart and my appointment isn't there, but I had a previous message confirming the appointment. I sent a MyChart message asking about it and I don't even get an apology for the fact that this Dr no longer works there and "they're late sending letters out." I'm thinking they weren't going to bother to let me know until after I drove all the way over there. There's no help at all, no apologies, no immediate offer to assist....just "call for a new appointment and primary care." Only after I expressed that I have been waiting months to address medical issues do they offer that I can be seen by an LPN. The medical care isn't even that thorough or good enough for me to want to be treated like garbage. I work in human resources for a healthcare organization and I would be ashamed to be representing this place. Needless to say, since I have to get a new primary care Dr anyway, I'll go somewhere else and tell others to do the same.
