Top notch employees inside office and most of the drivers .there's a few that are grumpy : only negative is the buses should run almost 24 hrs in grand Rapids they run from 530 am to 12 30 midnight other then that the call center ladies rock
Holly is the number 1 bus driver we have had the pleasure of riding with. She is patient with us seniors. Holly makes riding Lake Erie a joy.
The drivers are top notch and friendly and do not hesitate to help you when you have a question. Busses are clean and accessible.
The driver was 7 mins late and didn’t stop when I walked at the bus and waved them down. I’m confident he didn’t see me but the driver should be looking for passengers especially if they’re walking up to the door.
I have rode the bus in Monroe off and on for 16 years and have yet to have a problem. Most of the bus driver's are very polite and nice. Especially Kim. Whenever I have a question she has always been able to answer to the best of her ability. I appreciate Lake Erie Transit and feel grateful that Monroe even has a bus system. Keep up the good work!!
Absolutely terrible service to be honest. On multiple occasions we have been left behind while standing AT the bus stop. When we brought this management, he stated "If we stopped for every person on the road, we'd never get anywhere." Except you know...people who are standing AT THE BUS STOP. Wouldn't come back for us when the bus passed us up, not two minutes prior because they were "too far" already. Not to mention when they do pass you and a bus driver was called by a dispatcher, they outright lied and said we were "on our phones" which was untrue to begin with, considering it was absolutely freezing and too cold to even have our hands out of our sleeves But even then, when people are at a bus stop, phone or no phone, it generally makes sense to assume they are standing at the stop because they are waiting on a bus. Managment and dispatch were incredibly rude during these occasions and would offer no solution other than "Wait an hour for the next bus despite it being our driver's fault."
I love the bus system here in Monroe I had Denise help me with my ada i.d. and explain a lot to me. She is very warm, and caring. I have love how I can get around effectively and cheaply. Most of the bus drivera are super sweet and fun to talk to also they are extremely helpful with advice on what routes take you where you need to go.
Okay the drivers and buses are good. My biggest issue is the very limited route and run times. Plus a 40 min. interval between buses is too long. If they ran later it would really benefit the downtown bars and resturants. Plus would be an huge invaluable asset to the low income and poor in town.
Used to work here. Great company to work, miss it a lot. People that give bad reviews don't understand what the drivers go through on a daily basis. We deal with so much but stay professional. So if you read this review please let others know that and try to understand what we deal with. Loved working here. Miss everyone
Was a Driver here for 6 years. Great place to work. Great Management, teamwork, & appreciation for the employees. It all starts at the top. Service hours are great, routes are easy, & they service all of Monroe & Bedford.
