Although Lake Forest seems like a tough school they prepare you for high school and college. Your child will have some challenges here but they will succeed. Lake Forest has some of the best teachers and staff members. Your child might cry sometimes because my peers and I have cried many of times because of the challenges.
Soo I've been at Lake Forest since kindergarten and I'm in 8th now. And over the years I've determined from my experience that Lake Forest is amazing when it comes to academics. However when it comes to the school be fun or having activities it lacks. To be a well rounded school I think you should have fun and work, not just one.
My experience at this school for the last several years as a very supportive parent has been horrible! Many times I have had to question the actions of the administrators level of care and respect. They have repeatedly disrespected my presence as a volunteer and supporter, they are very favorable of those that can give them monetary private support. However, my most recent disgust of their lack of concern of my child and a student there was extremely deplorable! My child was refused of his very well earned awards at their annual ceremony. He was absolutely humiliated, heart broken and terribly saddened. The only explanation given was ;early "I don't give awards" bell "uhh what awards he didn't get " others didn't even want too speak with me. Nonetheless, I was told to check with his teachers why he didn't receive any awards, well, to my avail I was informed that they were told by Ms Richard just before the program began not to include my child in any of the awards he deserves! They should be ashamed of themselves treating a young child like that for what every reason that they could not explain as a supposed to be upstanding adult and educator.
My children are in that school and they work hard and they are all A's students
