Just 15 min from Lake George, this campground was a perfect spot to take our family. First the cabins were fully stocked with kitchen utensils and linens. My kids participated in many of the activities available throughout the day, and all the staff was very nice. The pool, playground, restaurant area was very convenient. My kids enjoyed the blowups, especially the water slide. Finally, 2023 has been an extremely wet summer and the beach and tubing area were closed due to flooding, however we didn't even miss it. There was plenty to enjoy without them. Walkability: Paved camo roads great for kids bikes and scooters. Food & drinks: Restaurant on site.
We love this campground. It was so nice. It has a Arcade, on site mini golf, Shuffle board, basket ball court. 2 pools. They play music every nite which includes Karaoke, 2 pools and very happy staff. Clean bathrooms, huge movie screen. Would recommend Nearby activities: Lots to check out in lake George. There is a Mini HaHa boat ride, Wax museum with halloween like displays. Shopping shops , of course good restaurants, ice cream shops, fudge shops and the list goes on
I'll try to be as fair as possible given the fact that this has been an unusually rainy year. Many of the sites here were flooded out and the mosquitoes are intolerable. The campground has a beautiful sports field and the pool and inflatable water slide that the kids went on was more than enough to keep them happy. The sites are tight and the roads very narrow. However despite it all we've had a great time here. You can't beat the location and the management does seem to care about the facilities. Means of communicating through texts is great. We've had excellent cell service and would definitely give it a try again in a dry year.
We had a really nice cabin and enjoyed our stay. The cabin was roomy and very clean.. The staff was amazing.. very helpful and friendly.. My only concern was that there were so many small children riding without helmets and teenagers driving golf carts.. Noteworthy details: Fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans and dishes.. Unlike most they provided clean sheets and comforters. It was impressive... Very clean.,
This is one of our favorite campgrounds and in our top 5 Thousand Trails locations and that's saying a lot because we've been on the road full time in our motorhome for over a year. The roads in this campground are a little tight, but ultimately we had no major issues getting our 44' Class A into our site. The playground kept the kids entertained during our entire stay and there are plenty of other amenities and activities. We didn't stay long enough to use the pool, but it looked refreshing. The general store was well stocked and had everything that we may have needed. The staff was incredibly friendly, the site was a little smaller than we like but it was level, and the campground itself was well maintained and clean. This is a fairly popular and busy campground, and our site was very close to the playground and the on-site restaurant which made for a louder than usual weekend, but it was nothing too problematic. All six of our kids slept just fine so I guess it wasn't too loud, or they had worn themselves out enough on the playground and activities throughout the day. Either way, we had a great time.
We had a great weekend here. The cabin rental was great; it was a lot of space and the bed was very comfortable. The bar had a dance party every night, and there is a lot of fun activities to do. Tubing down the river is another great thing to do. Or you can sit around and do absolutely nothing! It's a great summertime place.
Camped as part of thousand trails. They are usually always booked. Wish thousand trails would open up more sites. There was plenty of open availability. Activities for the kids. Structured things for teens, which was amazing. Pool was nice. The "splash" area was transformed to a sandbox, in case you have small children. Dog park was huge. Very large campground. Hoping we can get in next year. Nearby activities: Lake George, six flags Noteworthy details: Shuttle van to various places in the area.
We just got back from a great stay at the campgrounds. We rented a cabin and the cabin was very clean and cute. It was fully stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. The campground is huge so we rented a golf cart and used our bikes to get around. And we had fun exploring the grounds. The activities were fun for our 5 and 8 year old boys. They had a pirate water balloon battle on wagons, bike riding parade, blow up waterslide, movie night, karaoke and a live music at the bar, arcade, crafts, scavenger hunt and a little pirate skit/play that was fun. The staff was very friendly and seemed to enjoy working there and having fun, compared to some other campgrounds we've been to where the staff seems grumpy. The main lodge/ store has a ton of supplies and great selection. We had quite a bit of rain one day and many campsites were very flooded out, so just keep that in mind when picking a spot mostly toward the back of the grounds by the pond and beach. We didn't use the beach, as it was very small and not much of a beach, but that didn't bother us. The kids had fun in the pool. The pool says it closes at 6 but they keep it open much later, which is nice. Oh and the food at the restaurant there was surprisingly very good ! We'll definitely be back soon! It was also only 15 min or so from lake George. We will try to request a cabin, if possible, next time, as ours was right by the main lodge, so we felt the traffic was a bit heavier there. Thanks for a great stay!
We come up serveral times a year. I am sad to say this is most likely the last time. As a business owner I would be ashamed to have somebody Iike Manda working in my establishment. When we walked up to the desk to inquire about becoming seasonal members she told us nobody was there to help us. She didn’t give us any information on how to become seasonals or who could help us. She was very cold and rude. The restaurant bar has gone down hill. We got buffalo chicken wraps, they are almost as small as a McDonald’s snack wrap. For $13 I would expect more than one small piece of chicken. The boy behind the counter didn’t even know we were there when we ordered because he was hiding on his phone. A older gentleman told him we were standing there. While waiting for the food we decided to get a drink. The lady had her four kids at the bar. She didn’t pay us know mind didn’t ask if we needed anything just leaned on the bar top talking with her kids. Also they harp on you when you rent golf carts that nobody without a valid drivers license can drive the golf carts. Meanwhile we were almost tboned not once but twice by teenagers on golf carts. They get about 5-7 teenagers on the golf carts jam music and drive around all day/night. The only positive thing I can say is the activities department is very good! My kids especially love Bev. She made the kids feel very welcomed to the activities and crafts. She went above and beyond.
This is an excellent campground. There is so much to do, especially with kids. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. Clean, updated bathrooms, their lodge store has everything you could need during a stay. Will definitely be returning!Rooms: 5/5
