Visited on Labor Day. This was the best kayaking experience my 7 year old son and I had so far. We made the mistake of going to lake George the day before, where prices were much higher, kayaks were not as good, and scenery lacking. This was an absolutely stunning spot and we caught an hour of breakthrough sunshine between two rainstorms. The owner seems like a sweetheart under a stern demeanor. he got us two perfectly suited, stable kayaks for a very reasonable price as soon as the first storm passed. We followed a great blue heron, saw tons of turtles and various gorgeous aquatic insects. The plant life is astounding. We will be back for sure!
Always a good time kayaking here. Quiet place, relaxing whether you go lakeside or creek side. Great pics, friendly, helpful staff and decent amount of parking.
My family and I had a great time renting Kayaks on the 4th of July! Prices were reasonable and the boats were clean and ready for use. Dave and his staff took great care of us!
I originally reserved 3 kayaks for 3 hours over Memorial Day Weekend; however, the weather was terrible and we ended up rescheduling twice. LLW was super understanding and rescheduled us both times without hesitation. We finally kayaked yesterday and had a great time. The staff was friendly and helped us with our life jackets and into our kayaks. There was plenty of parking and beautiful lake/river views to be had! We plan to go back again and make it to Saratoga Lake!
Staff is super friendly every time we are there. Today we were late and they kindly waited for us and seemed more concerned about our well being than them having to be there longer. No problems with equipment either. Great value. One of the best values in Saratoga county.
We were actually looking for a public launch for kayaking. Passed this place so we turned around. Owner was more than helpful with all our inquiries. He only charges per vehicle...no matter how many kayaks you have on that vehicle. It is a very easy launch site, they even have a kayak launch. Great place to kayak if you don't like sharing the waters with big motor boats and jet skis, as in Fish Creek!! Very peaceful, beautiful ride. We paddled up the Kaydeross. Good fishing also. The owner also willing to work with us on a full day kayak rental if needed.
Getting my kayak was quick and easy. Life vests were provided. If you go to the left, you can paddle around Lake Lonely. If you go to the right, you can paddle down a creek and to Saratoga Lake. I chose Lake Lonely. It was peaceful with beautiful views. Staff were helpful, and being out there truly improved my day.
We must’ve gone in the wrong direction , towards Saratoga lake ? But of course never made it there . We rented a row boat , the water was very shallow and full of plant life that really needs to be cleared out. It wasn’t relaxing because there were a lot of fallen trees in the water and it was difficult to navigate around them without running aground .
While roaming around on a Saturday we passed Lake Lonely Watersports and we decided to turn around and see what they had available to rent for the day. When we walked in the gentleman was kind and friendly, gave us the information $60 for 3 hours for a Jon boat with a small motor and we decided to go ahead and do it. Not really expecting to go on a boat for a few hours, we had a cheesecake in the car that probably wouldn’t have faired well in the heat of our truck. We asked if there was a fridge we could put it in and the gentleman readily let us put it in his fridge, which was so nice of him. The boats are what you’d expect. I’ve only been on a boat once before and that was a pontoon boat in Florida, so I’m not extremely knowledgeable on the subject. They seemed sturdy and well taken care of. Overall it was a nice way to spend part of Saturday afternoon! The prices were reasonable and the employee who worked there was nothing but helpful and friendly.
Great value, friendly staff. I give it 5, but I don't want it to get crowded kidding. Can't wait to return.
