Lake Malone State Park
"There’s something new to see at Lake Malone! Visit with "Annette and Watson Malone" in the big field with their bugs, "Paige Malone" reading a book near the playground, “Happy Malone” at his campsite, “Bobber Malone” lakeside, or “Oakley Malone” along Laurel Trail. They are part of the new larger-than-life attraction “Big Twigs,” a family of 14-foot giants that now inhabit the park. After visiting, hike the easy wooded terrain along the lake with scenic views of rock walls and waterfall. A boat ramp is available for those who enjoy watersports and catching channel catfish, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and sunfish. The campground has 25 sites with electric and water hookups, grills, and picnic tables."

My 1st time going to Lake Malone State Park. This was a great day trip and getting to see The Twigs family was a real treat! Beautiful scenery, peaceful, clean park. Enjoyed the day there, very nice! Picnic area: Nice covered/uncovered picnic areas
Dogs are allowed! Such a minor detail but we love that. The tree, twig people was such a unique feature to the park. We went over the Labor Day weekend and it was nice. Not jam packed with people. The beach was very small, no glass or alcohol allowed. Was a fun day trip overall. Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly - love it!
Ky state park with a nice beach swimming access. They have carvings throughout the park called Big Twigs.
I would give it a 5 but...if you don't mind lots of people it's a 5. If you're like me and don't like a lot of people this is not the place for you. It is absolutely beautiful though. Restrooms: Porta-potty
Love this campground! It’s firmly in my top 3. Very quiet setting, clean, easy to get into, great cell service with Verizon, level site, hiking wasn’t too difficult, very close to the lake, beautiful lake to kayak. Highly recommend a stay here
You must see the Big Twigs, which is absolutely free. There are some signs up for Bobber and Oakley but not a sign easily seen for Happy. Happy is located in wooded area behind playground area at campground. Easily access to all three. However, Happy is a little walk though. The trail to Happy may not be suitable for a stroller because it was a little muddy when we went and is little rough for stroller access. But definitely recommend going to park to see Big Twigs.
Just moved to Greenville, so far this is the best place to adventure in nature! The Twigs are amazing, the hike is easy and the lake is soooo beautiful
Nice trails and the statues and neat to see.
Tis a very beautiful park! I saw some beautiful scenery, and it has nice rocks down by the water! The park has a couple nice pavilions with picnic tables, restrooms, etc. to where you’re able to have a good size group. You can have the park reserve a pavilion for you for a small fee if you let them know ahead of time that you will be there.
Cute and well kept campground. Not a lot of reinforcement by park rangers after hours. Lots of spots in a small space, but it’s not too crowded. Couple of trails to walk. No Wi-Fi, and some carriers don’t have signal out there. They have a cute trio of oak statues.
