Claire and her daughters, Marcy and Sarah, opened Speedy Spa with the long driven passion to provide a high quality custom tailored service at an affordable price.
Claire brings her experience from teaching and starting the massage therapy program at North Country Community College to Speedy Spa. She was an English professor for 25 years before she became a massage therapist in 1996. Claire is the founder and director of the first Associate Degree Program in Massage Therapy in the East. She has trained many of the local massage therapists. Her vast knowledge, experience and credibility combine to bring Speedy Spa to a higher standard of service. Claire has numerous advanced certifications, including Neuromuscular Therapy, Massage for the Cancer Patient from Sloan Kettering, and Visceral Manipulation. All of her training combines to create a unique massage tailored to each individual
Marcy trained as a massage therapist in New Mexico in 1996. Early in her career she worked in luxury spas where she honed her customer service skills and was integral in hiring and training massage therapists. Marcy has many advanced certifications, including Shiatsu and Neuromuscular Therapy, and has taught in the Massage Therapy Associate Degree Program at North Country Community College. Marcy is also a Registered Nurse and has combined her medical knowledge to complement her massage techniques and provide assessment and treatment in a therapeutic way.
