. Bring cold weather gear cause you’ll need it! It was 45 degrees in August! Plenty of shade. We stayed in site #16. Steps to the beach. Clean park. Love that it’s a “ first come - first serve” state forest campground. They have a hand pump water well.
Had a very nice couple days there looking at cool rocks and playing with my dog! But please be considerate and not be load and obnoxious.
Great little campground on a wonderful part of Superior's Beach. The minimal light pollution was ideal to see the Milky Way!
Great place for rock and agate hunting. Right on Lake Superior, so I might have some concerns if the weather was bad.
Awesome campground with great views.. Black flies bite and are bad..lol.. 4 stars due to bathroom needed pumped..
Amazing views and about 10 steps to the beach. So many beautiful rocks and the sunset was the best: this was the perfect camp site. We were really hoping to find something like this for our nice weekend getaway.
We went camping there about 27 years ago, it has always been a favorite memory for our family and talked about often over the years. Wonderful town Grand Marais, beautiful Pictured Rocks near by, just a GREAT family vacation getaway!
MAN what a view! Absolutely beautiful to wake up in the morning to see the lake in all its majesty. Road out there was a bit rough in the Camaro, but it's well worth the side trej.
Nice camping spots. Beautiful beach. But, No showers and bathrooms are very smelly. The road is gravel and sand. And you have to have a recreational pass. Definitely not worth it! Wish someone mentioned all this before we drove all the way there based on the 5* reviews.
Beautiful location right on the shore of Lake Superior! Nice size spaces with picnic tables. Close to Grand Marais, MI if you need any camping supplies or want to check out what the local stores have to offer. Great beach to relax, catch a freightor going by or looking for rocks.
