So glad we stayed in a cabin. Made it much easier on me...Had my Grandson that is 3 . And my Daughter. Other family cancelled. Peacocks roam around, which are nice. . And they have some Huge Spiders by the Cabins...Need to cut the branches away from when you pull in. And by the decks.. Staff at the store are very helpful, and very friendly.. Cabins are so nice. The bed and the shower were just glorious...From a day at the pool. I was very surprised how well the pool was kept up . With so many people at the KOA. I would definitely stay again in a cabin there.. , We had a wonderful time there. Highly recommend to stop at Vons Market before you go up there. It's about 20 or 25 minutes if you need anything on the way up....
This KOA was a great stop along our route. The sites were well maintained. No sewer hook-ups but they have a scheduled pump out service. The biggest issue was the flies. An insane number of flies that made it impossible to eat outside. The dumpsters were uncovered and our site was close to one of the dumpsters. Not certain if that was the source of the fly problem but, it didn't help. We will stay here again because it's a perfect stop before heading north so we hope they fix the fly problem. Peacock families - very cool!
The campground is nice but there is no electricity. They don’t allow any generators or music applies to some people. They told our group we weren’t able to have music or generators but other groups around us were using them. The zip line staff was very friendly and helpful but other than them every other staff member was rude. They need to work on their interpersonal skills. The bathrooms and showers are gross. They have septic issues which makes the smell 10x worse. They have activities like zip lining, rock climbing, trails, and a pool. With that being said, I’ve visited many KOA campsites and this one would be my least favorite.
Lovely campground in a rural setting near the city. Large campsites, many with good separation with bushes. Many trees. Friendly counter staff. Great bathroom. Many family activities, some that even the teenagers will enjoy like the zip line and obstacle course. Pool. We will visit again.
We had an awesome time. Our kids are 6 and 3 and we were not sure if there was going to be enough to do without the pool open, but we had a blast! We walked down to the creek, explored the campground, and got to climb the rock wall. The kids had a great time on the jumping pillow and playground. The staff was awesome. Ryan helped get us checked in and the lay of the land. She made sure our kids felt right at home and was super friendly and welcoming. Our cabin was great, we will certainly be back!
The location was ideal and the amenities for families were awesome. The reason for the 3 rating is that the bathrooms were always very dirty... most importantly the toilets were gross. I know it can be a challenge keeping up during the busy season but a once a day cleaning is just not enough. And finally, to echo what others said the lots were crowded and not at all level.
Our family had a great time! We had an awesome rv site with a patio and shade! Kids had a blast on the zip line and pillow pad! Just wish there was some type of canopy/shade over the playground, too hot for the kids to play on equipment! All the staff are very helpful and friendly Nearby activities: Awesome zip line and obstacle course, pool and bike track, bounce pad, creak nearby, play ground.
The staff was rude and made claims per terms and conditions they couldn’t back up then proceeded to tell us it’s listed in a blog as if that would hold up in court as factual. The rude staff Wouldn’t and couldn’t articulate why they were so rude rather then just fixing the mess they made. Their answer to giving away our campsite was the people checked in early and per terms and conditions it’s allowed. The owner refused to contact me or acknowledge their mistake. Finally they moved us to a area similar to what we had previously booked. The bathrooms and showers were gross. The pool was cold. The only nice things were the other campers and location. My advice is get all new staff and house keeping before someone takes legal action or gets sick from dysentery. If you’re looking for a Genuine KOA stay this definitely isn’t it.
Camping there was really fun. It was nice to not set up a tent since we went with the wagon. We had wagon A which was in the middle and not very secluded. There was peacocks walking around which was cool. Saturday was very busy with a lot of people at the bounce pad and pool, but Sunday there was almost nobody in the area we were at which was nicer. Wagon door had a code to get in an closes automatically after a while. Rooms: The Wagon A Had a big bed, bunk beds, two chairs and a table. Had lights inside. Had outlets, but didn’t seem to work. There was also another switch that I think went to an outside light, and didn’t work. Also tried switch for outlet and didn’t work. We had a power bank, so it didn’t change anything for us. Nearby activities: Most things were closed when we went, but there’s still a pool, playground, and a bouncing pad
I understand that there was a fire that swept through here a couple of years ago, which I suppose impacted the facilities, that they're still recovering from. However, there were serious septic issues to the point where it was hard to stay outside for any extended period. The power was a little flaky, but okay. The people who work there were very friendly and helpful. But the facilities need some serious modernization.
