This is a laid back campground community with great people. It is member owned meaning that if you choose to become a member you purchase your lot and own it. The directors are elected by the members. We bought in 3 years ago and it is work in progress but the directors are doing everything they can to make it awesome.. we love it here and all of the friends we have made here . It is open for public camping and has cabin rentals as well
We camp there this past weekend we love it. It was kid friendly they do thing to have fun with the kids and your pets the movie night were awesome the only thing it it would be nice give a donation for the the guy chuck for his time/and the money he spends on the the popcorn. Everyone in the park is really friendly and the park was really quite WE WILL BE BACK . Wish we could of cave it a 10 star review. Thank you
My family has a couple of lots here. It's improving. This is an edited review where in the past I was pretty hard on them for the lack of updates. That has completely turned around. The bath houses are really starting to look nice. Not Taj Mahal, but campground nice and the maintenance is kept up. The current administration really has busted their behinds to overcome past management woes. Progress can be slow at times, but Rome wasn't built in a day. If you are reading negative reviews from days gone by, please ignore them. Activities for all of the family are available much of the year. I will post updated pictures on my next visit. If you previously enjoyed this campground and left for whatever reason, I encourage you to make a visit and check it out. To the volunteers and staff. My apologies, this review edit is well overdue. Well done!
Small hometown atmosphere. Family friendly and pet friendly. Everyone has been welcoming and makes you feel like you are part of the community. Very quiet at night, peaceful and the view of the stars is amazing. Could use some updating, but that is a work in progress. Overall, 5 stars for being close to nature, and a friendly community atmosphere.
We own 3 lots here we love that it isn't like most campgrounds where they are luke little citys. Here it is country and wild life and our fellow memebers are pretty awesome. We truly are a village that take care of each other
Worst campground we have ever been to! The entrance was beautiful but misleading. Camp office had friendly staff but it was out dated and smelled. Bathrooms were old, stained and missing hardware. Campsites weren't mowed, weren't clearly marked and were really uneven. Electric needs updated as our fuses kept blowing if we ran our air conditioning. It was a holiday weekend and the pool was closed and the dumpsters were overflowing when we got there. Play area was full of broken equipment and the "dog park" was a run down tennis court. We drove around to see the park and there were so many campers that looked abandoned and poorly taken care of. It was such a shame as this campground has so much potential. We won't be back!!
Different rules for different people security came to where I was at 11:05 for music too loud but the neighbors can co till after 1:00 am or later ,,also accused of threatening bodily harm to someone with witnesses that are lying I don't recommend this place for anyone looking for a place
Everyone is so nice and helpful. We bought a permanent lot and became camper owners last year and we couldn't have made it the first few months without helpful neighbors and friends! Board is working hard on creating an updated, family friendly place to camp! Events include bands, bingo, hay rides and of course the golf cart races!
Very homey atmosphere. Everyone is super awesome and friendly, makes you feel right at home! Helps you forget about all today's problems, a getaway at it's finest. Most definitely will be coming back soon and more often!
Lake Village is a really nice campground and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a seasonal place to camp. The campground is only about a mile away from a boat launch on Pymatuming Lake and about 1 1/2 miles from the main swimming beach at the lake. The sites are big and roomy with lots of shade, etc. You are not looking in your neighbor's windows at Lake Village like at nearby campgrounds where the campers are squeezed together and right up next to each other. Lake Village has a much more campground feel to it because the sites are so big and roomy. The staff are all nice and very helpful whenever there is a problem. The campground is quiet and everyone respects everyone else. I am very pleased with it and very glad that I have a spot there. The indoor pool is also nice. And it is nice too because pets are welcome there.
