Water clean. Kids can swim or play .park was open with no fee ,wavy water frish air ,nice place to relax. The park far little bit. I believe people need a cart to carry their staff
The group site was absolutely beyond perfect for our church camping trip, we definitely will return.
Wonderful place big sites with some right on the water view. Loved the soft serve ice cream
My family we always loved this park and beaches. We went on the wrong day that was raining and cold. I'm hoping to go back next year and have better weather. Restrooms: Restrooms are very clean! Picnic area: There are a lot of picnic areas and tables.
Great for a wintertime visit although parking area closed. Walked through campground to get beach access Visited on "ground hogs day" afternoon and had a mix of cloudy and sunny conditions. It started to "blizzard" as we were leaving. Lots of good rocks for collecting. Many fossils and banded rocks. Can't wait to come back in the summer.
Beautiful camp site. The cleanest bathrooms and showers you could have. Lake Huron is great to swim and skip some stones in. We go there every year and will continue to. Highly highly recommend....
This place was nice. It's the first state park on Lake Huron if you are traveling north in Michigan. When entering the beach off the main road, it seems like a roadside beach or city beach. You do not have to drive deep into the state park to get to the beach. The park offers camping, which is very cool. I did not get the chance to visit the sites, however. They were across the main road. The park is also kept up quite nice. It seems very clean. One thing I did not like about this park is that the beach was not that big, in comparison to some other beaches on Lake Huron. It was also rocky, which is pretty typical of Huron in Michigan. Overall, this state park was okay. It's certainly not as nice as some of the others on Lake Huron, north of here. But for being only an hour outside of Detroit, it's definitely not bad.
This is my favorite place to go in the heart of the winter. It's absolutely beautiful when nature has taken it's course, ice boulderers, natural ice cove's, beach covered in snow is breathtaking, speechless, if you can handle that type of cold
Beautiful campground on the Huron lake. Great place to visit for families. Sites are large. Play structures for kids, very clean bathrooms and showers, a camp store with ice cream and camping essentials, a mile long beach right up to the day use area. Would recommend booking in advance as the sites were full when we were there. A must visit for campers.
