My cousin and I were looking for a last minute campground. I called and the host found us a spot. What a stroke of luck. The campground is centrally located, clean bathrooms and shower rooms, dog friendly, and BIG! Lots of area to walk the dog. It seems to attract friendly people. The rate is good and we stayed 3 days. Our host Lisa was friendly, helpful, and was so happy all the time. Her joy rubbed off on us, and we had such a great time. I will return, loved it. Please keep your rates reasonable.
This is a decent sized campground. Most of the lots are fairly small. Our lot was poorly placed with a tree right at the front section of our lot. Thank goodness the campground doesn’t have one way roads or else we would’ve been in trouble. The campground has E/W/S hookups and free fire pits that are delivered upon request. Located right next to the busy freeway so you do hear quite a bit of traffic noise. The hostess was great. She allowed us to park our truck on an empty lot across the road from our lot as well as check out a little late so we could make the most of our trip. They have activities but we didn’t partake. If you’re there long enough be sure to check out the events. They have a clean laundry room, bathrooms and showers. Anything you need is about a 5 minute drive away. Grocery store, emergency/trauma center, fast food etc. it is also close to family friendly attractions like lighthouse tours, river walks and trails, restaurants and a park. This campground is on our “will return” list! Visit if you are in the area. Nearby activities: Hop on a trail and head to the river walk. You can visit a lighthouse, a lightship, a park or restaurants. Walkability: Very bikable location. There are trails nearby.
We just finished up our weekend stay in the Bus Stop aka The Skoolie Bus. Me and my family absolutely loved it. The bus was very well done, clean, and had all the modern amenities you could need. The campground itself was well maintained an the bathrooms and showers on sight were extremely clean. The manager and the house keeper were very helpful and kind. Dancing Fire is in a perfect location, it is just short drives to, parks, beaches, shops, and many local unique restaurants. I saw the plans for future development of the campground and it looks awesome. I would definitely make your reservation now before it’s popular and hard to get a spot.
This place is AMAZING….. it’s literally 10 min from everything right off the interstate so there is some noise but we play soft music to go to bed and it never bothered us. Definitely make this a STOP! They are renovating and making the amenities even better like adding a pool. That’s the only thing I felt was missing for our family. But we went to the beach every day instead.
Our 3 day camping trip was a blast the manager Lisa was very kind and very helpful she had answered every question that we had. We also had brought our own tents and it was nice very comfortable we didn't feel like we are unwelcome sleeping in our own tent. The kids had a blast they loved playing on the playground there. We highly recommend this camping site. Again thank you manager Lisa for welcoming us to your campsite we will be back again. Safety: We all felt very safe
In the past the owners were pleasant, accommodating and very friendly… that has changed with the new owners. They will scam you out of your money if they can. We have stayed here for the past 20 years but will not be staying here ever again. It was a reasonable cost before this year but the price has increased significantly and from what I understand it will keep increasing each year with additional renovations. I understand everything is going up in cost, but for a small campground with cramped campsites, little to no amenities and so close by the noisy freeway it is not worth staying here. There are other campgrounds in the area that are worth checking out
Decent. Well maintained showers with good water pressure and heat. Host is very nice. The ground are missing some trees to make it less feel like an RV parking. Most campers are elder and nice. Very few shady caracters. The road nearby is very noisy with people contantly accelerating their motor bikes and muscle cars.Service: 5/5
So they took my Dad’s money who is 76 years old even though he told them that his motor home was not ready to be brought in, made him pay another month, and his motor home is still not there. The girl at the office said she would look into it and get back to him but never did. He talked to the owner that did not care, just basically said oh well. They are refusing to reimburse him or put that money towards the upcoming months. Disgraceful. They stated that there was information given to him about no refund but I guarantee that he never received it. Very poor customer service. Stay away from a company that screws senior citizens!! It’s new owners as of this year so previous comments about being a great campground were true as my Dad has been camping there for over 15 years!
Super close to highway, so lots of road traffic noise. Great staff. Lots of fun people to hang out with, but wish there was a dog run area. Had to drive miles to the dog park.Service: 5/5
Fanatic place to stay. Close to local eatery's. Sites are surprisingly level for gravel. The laundry room is clean as well as a bathroom shower and lots of books, games, and space to hang out with your group. Thanks, Lisa, for your warm welcome.Service: 5/5
