Stayed two nights and would stay again. It has a concession stand, the bathrooms were okay, it was dusty at our spot. Spots are really close. The RV next to us cranked their generator at 6am on the dot. The other neighbors were kinda loud at night... Nice playground for the kids, it got too hot in the sun. Easy access to the water.. to fish, swim and they do have kayak and boat rentals. Also very close to Walmart in case you forget anything. Restrooms: Could be cleaned more often
All in all great campground but with one major flaw. We opted for the "premium" lake spots. 5 spots known as A thru E. These are tent spots near the lake and we had spot B. This spot is literally 5 feet from the parking lot with only tree coverage on 1 side. Also 10 feet from a fish gutting station and the bathrooms. This caused everyone to walk thru our campsite to get to the bathrooms. All night til about 2am. The motion activated light in the fish station took away from the camping experience. I myself prefer a more woodsy feel rather than amenities right next to me. The main office and people that work there were some of the nicest people. All in all I would go again but stay away from the "premium" sites. Too much foot traffic and being on top on the lot sucked. The other side of the site where the office is located is much more covered by trees.
Soooo close to the road, with traffic noise and lights throughout the night, with no trees to block it. Most of the time there is no one there that works there. Trashy people around and about. The smell of generators running all around.. spots are Very small. Red dust always blowing in, as mentioned in other reviews.. We reserved 2 night but only stayed 1.. because it was an unhappy place.
My family & I were visiting relatives in Pinetop. We already had a reservation to stay at Show Low Lake Campgrounds in the coming weeks, so we decided to stop by and check it out. We noticed there's a fee to park but I didn't get a price. Lots of people were kayaking, boating, longboarding, and swimming. The water is stirred up, making it look muddy and wear some sort of shoes because there are lots of rocks. We didn't stay long but had a good time while there. If you haven't been to this lake, it's a fun family area, so go check it out. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are permitted and have to be on a leash.
It was a great campground. Nice and shaded and close to the lake. There was a playground right across from the site where we camped at so my girls loved it! We got a really great site. Site 8 is what we had. Super shady!
We stayed there 5-17 to 5-19 of 2022 and we had the best time ! The people that work there were very nice very helpful! We made friends with the couple next to us and exchanged info to keep in touch. The lake was very nice could have more fish tho my husband caught a rainbow trout our last day there a little over 2 lbs. All in all the park was very well maintained and lots of trees for shade. It was a very peaceful stay and we will be coming back. It’s family oriented you can bring pets too. I loved that they had hot showers and flushing toilets ! Prices are very reasonable. Come out and relax and enjoy nature. Tom & Fay Bradley
It is a nice place to relax and enjoy with the family. You can not swim but you can navigate. Good place to camp.
clean, u can park in shade, fish even after dark, people respectful more so than friendly. and that's ok:kayaking small electric power ed boats , and sail boats all are aloud. Bring ur own boat. Surrounding woods is all campsites. different pricing $18 per day or 30 for 2 cars 2 tents 4 people immaculate bathrooms and showers
This city-owned property is operated by a contract management company. Show Low Lake Road runs parallel to sites 1 - 41 and is approximately 50 to 100 feet away, depending on site. The on-site playground is used by the general public, and is situated closest to sites 1-11. Major retailers are located one to five miles from campground. Many sites are small, and close together. Conversations could easily be heard. Nearby campers enjoyed their playlists via loud bluetooth speakers. During my stay most sites were occupied, yet two of the three bathrooms were locked. The trash dumpsters were padlocked. Water spigots were turned off. Fee; $24 per night for small non-electric site.
Went to see blue moon rising.Always go here when I visit the family cabin nearby. Playground: Across the street
