Lakewood commons in Auburn, Al

I've been here for 4 years and yes it is an affordable place to live but when something needs to be fixed they will waste no time to charge you for it even if you are not at fault. They will keep your deposit for something as simple as bulbs and pre-existing issues. If you have pets you will pay an arm and a leg in fees and deposits. The place itself is definitely older but it is pretty peaceful.

As the last reviewer said, these units are older, but many have been refurbished inside. The lake is very peaceful with the ducks and turtles always around and the fishing in it is even pretty good. The amenities are good as the grounds are well maintained and the pool area is nice and private. The tennis courts are also in pretty decent shape, which is better than most complexes can say. The units are close to campus I often walk to the stadium on game days and also close to many restaurants and Wal-mart which is very convenient. As for the reviewer who said that these places aren't safe, I'm not sure where they grew up, but I've never lived anywhere in my life as safe as the town of Auburn and I've lived everywhere from smalltown USA, to the beaches of Florida, to Nashville, TN. Also, the most important thing is that these places are so QUIET. The main reason I chose Lakewood is that being in professional school I needed a quiet place to study and this fit the bill 100%. Admittedly, you will hear the occasional music or party coming from a nearby unit, but if you think that is not the case everywhere then the college life just might not be for you. I can't say enough about how much I loved living here. Hope you will too!

I love this place. The complex is quiet, the pond out front is nice, and the neighbors keep to themselves. The building is older but thats OK. I haven't had any problems with loud parties or noises. Front desk staff is very polite.

Rent at your own risk. Staff is unresponsive at times and quick to deduct from your deposit on pre-existing issues. Also, when disputing deductions made from your security deposit ask how much time you have to dispute it. We were rejected because according to them we had until October 30th to dispute any discrepancies and we were 1 day late. But at no time were we notified that that was the deadline. Despite the fact that one of the items disputed was already pre-existing. The only positive feedback that I could give this complex is that the rent is affordable but then again you have other similar options in the area.

Cheapskates and they don’t fix anything in a timely manner. They also will find any reason to suck the money out of you. Best thing about this place is that the view and tranquility is nice.

Dishonest, will use whatever reason they can to keep your deposit. They try to make the tenant pay for improvements rather than maintaining the units.

A nice community of apartments. A great blend of families and students. It's quiet and beautiful. Plus it's very affordable.

Great atmosphere quite chill and relaxing no loud music

I currently live there. is an amazing place with a lot of outdoor activity spaces. plus the forest that sureend the complex makes it very beautiful spot to live

They have been keep showing my apartment to people during coronavirus time. Not even sending an email. Sometimes the guest don't wear masks. Not recommend at all.
