Lakewood - Kids Quarters
"The Island Quarter Nottingham is a 40-acre development in one of the UK’s most innovative and dynamic cities. The Island Quarter will be a ‘UK First’, with the development leading the way in terms of sustainability, innovation and engagement with nature and green space. The site will be totally transformed to bring new homes, grade A office space, creative market, a lifestyle hotel, retail units, a ‘linear’ park and community space as well as student accommodation to the city.Work has already started on-site, and after 25 years of neglect, the shape of a diverse, new community for Nottingham is beginning to emerge."

I think the new Mitchellen star restaurant that is almost ready to open is going to be a great hit for Nottingham.
Absolutely outstanding service and food. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel looked after and transported into a culinary whirlwind. Simply scrumptious and highly recommend.
Great to see positive development in this long derelict corner of the city. Brownfield development must be far more complicated, and I understand there were significant contamination issues that have been overcome to enable all this. The first phase is looking great and the press releases of the future phases promise a great blend of uses which will surely offer prosperity to the city and surrounding communities.
Visited the cleaver and wake restaurant this evening, amazing service and compliments to chef Laurence and his team. Will most definitely be returning the food was outstanding overall a very enjoyable evening!
So excited to see this previously wasted land turn into something super exciting for Nottingham! Architecture looks amazing and can't wait to try Laurence Henry's food :D
Cannot wait to visit the new restaurants this summer - the building looks amazing! Lots of work taking place which is so nice to see. The canal looks rejuvenated. Finally life is being injected back into this area. Looking forward to more things opening :
Looking forward to the amazing food and drink experience coming to Nottingham. Great investment in the city! I can't wait to try Laurence Henry's food.
A fantastic development for the people of Nottingham! Can't wait to visit the new venues opening this year at Canal Turn - Binks Yard and Cleaver & Wake - both headed up by Chef Laurence Henry.
It is amazing to see the city developing in this way. Especially the fact it is using former derelict land that had been previously unused is a HUGE bonus. Every day when I walk home, I get a sense of excitement when I approach the Island Quarter. I'm delighted that our great city is finally getting the TLC that it deserves.
What a culinary experience and exquisite service. So proud to have this in Nottingham.
