The Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University
The Brian Lamb School of Communication is named after Brian Lamb, Co-Founder and CEO of C-SPAN and is a new school within the College of Liberal Arts. The Lamb School emerged from the Department of Communication at Purdue. The School continues and builds upon a 60 year tradition of excellence in scholarship and education in the communication discipline. The Lamb School was approved by Purdue's Board of Trustees in April 2011 effective July 1, 2011.
The Brian Lamb School of Communication continues Purdue’s strong tradition of communication scholarship, providing excellent graduate and undergraduate education while supporting the values of Brian Lamb, which include a commitment to “openness” in communication and public affairs. In addition to these commitments the new school is committed to building bridges to the media industry and to partnering with the C-SPAN Archives which are located in Purdue’s Research Park.
