PURPOSE OF PI-LAMBDA ZETA
The main mission and objectives of Lambda Chi Alpha at St. Louis College of Pharmacy is to “To foster a spirit of genuine brotherhood among its members…” and to “To make good men great, great men excellent, and excellent men even better…” We feel that only through service to his fellow man can one actually know what it is to give of himself and to feel humbled by helping those that have less than he does.
Our biggest philanthropic event of the year is the North American Food Drive. We believe that no one should have to go to bed hungry, and no mother should have to wonder what she is going to feed her children the next day. That thought is what drives us throughout the year to make each year’s food drive more successful than the year before. While we know there are more “hungry mouths” in the St. Louis area than one chapter could ever hope to feed, it is our driving thought that by helping those that we can, and making as big of an issue as possible about our cause, we can increase awareness about hunger in St. Louis and perhaps the entire country. By doing so, we hope that one day, albeit far in the future, we, as a society, can eradicate hunger from the entire world.
Through our Core Values and ritualistic teachings , Lambda Chi Alpha aims to systematically develop our men by fundamentally shaping who they are, what they know, and what they can do.
