If I could leave no stars I would. It’s super loud in here. Children are literally running around screaming. Teenagers and adults are on their phones and talking loudly. I come here to do school work because a it’s supposed to be quiet. It’s very hard to concentrate.
It’s a very nice library, especially for kids! But the staff have been rude whenever I’ve had questions about events, book rentals, etc. Other patrons of the library I’ve met have had similar experiences.
It's a library. You can read, get on the computer etc. So in that aspect it's Great. Most of the staff are nice. As far as the public is concerned you can expect some nosey people and a lot of harmless immature gossip drama between the " regulars" there. So I Just Do my own research, read quietly, browse, etc. I'm here for me. Not anyone else. That's not to say don't freaking say hi to anyone lol but I draw a line in the sand and try and leave it at that!
I live in Lansdale, have a Lansdale address but I am not in the “borough” therefore I have to pay to use this library as does my family. This is the first time I have ever heard of such a thing!!! I called the North Wales Library and they said I could sign up and use their library for free even though I am in Lansdale! I have been a longtime support of free public libraries in many of our nearby towns I don’t understand of calling yourself a public library when you are not open to lansdale residents who don’t live in the borough. Imagine the Doylestown library charging for folks who don’t live in the borough it would be a whole lot of people. I lived in Warrington and have used many libraries in the nearby towns for different reasons. Anyways maybe if you changed your policies and increased usage you would receive more funds.
You have a lot of people eating and making noise by the computers, not really the environment to be studying or reading but other than that it's a library.
Library is old style unwelcome look walls colors annoying yellow with scrratches on walls old tables and furniture. The library is old and not pleasant due to noise the guy at the table talking on the phone always loud and annoying must not be that in libraries. The ladies who at the desk is not as nice need improvement more welcome dealing, the building is small and not designed smart, kids are screaming, running, jumping, very much like a mad house of a Communist Commonwealth state of Pennsylvania. This Library requires not just a remodeling but built another Library nearby and this library needed completely rebuilt with second floor and inovative technology. this library is scam
I Love This Because It Is PeaceFul And Has Nice Air, You Can Print Stuff, It Has Games, Summer Reading challenges. Prizes Such As Bean Balls, And Apple Bee Gift Cards. Its Amazing!
I love the Lansdale library. The staff is friendly. They have activities for the children. The. Book selections are great. And if they don't have it they borrow it from another library.
Grew up in 80s going here but as an adult when I stop in every now and then when visiting my parents, it just seems to not have caught up with the times. I give it 2 stars because they have free WiFi, ample public computers and cozy chairs for sitting and a lot of potential to be a stellar library. But customer service needs to be vastly improved so that customers can feel welcomed by friendly and smiling staff. I made an inquiry to a person manning the front desk and he barely acknowledged me and was grumpy. Maybe there other friendly staff behind the scenes so I could have visited on an off-day. Also, more stimulating and intellectual programs could really benefit the local community here. Use Indian Valley library as a guide for customer service and progressive programming.
Growing up in lansdale I've always loved the library and have taken solace there. Great staff and plenty of activities available! You're also able to rent space for various events, one of which I'm so excited to see pop up here, Drag Queen Story Hour! I can't wait to attend!
