The librarians are so nice to my little girl, very helpful when finding a book she is looking for something specific. Storytime is great and filled with singing, dancing and stories. We come to the play area at least once a week, more if it's raining or cold out. They also offer different events for children throughout the year!
Always a beautiful experience as the children go from aisle to aisle findling books. The librarians are awesome. They are always ready to help and set you in the right direction, you only need to ask.
Nice library but absolutely would not recommend the infant storytime to anyone! I have gone on and off since my older son was born. I tried it again with my younger son three years later, and they are singing the EXACT SAME songs and doing the exact same things! No changes and nothing new. Also the songs are old ones that everyone already knows such as “you are my sunshine” or “happy and you know it”. Nothing new to learn!! Also the woman had the nerve to tell me to put away my cell phone in front of the entire group!! I was appalled. I was checking on an emergency message from my sons caregiver who is special-needs. I think that was absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful to treat me like that. We are not children in a classroom we are adults and parents! I hope they can find a new storyteller with some new songs and who is not as rude. I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND the storytime to anyone and I would be telling all my mom friends the same. I would look elsewhere for story time as I heard Phoenixville library has a good one.
Upper Merion Library discriminatory practices! Today I went to UM Library to put up a flyer in the notice board as I needed some help. When I showed the flyer, they said they can not allow commercial and job related postings. I accepted and came downstairs and leaving. Then I found on the notice board a colorful flyer of PRIMARK company seeking helpers. When I went back and asked, they don't have any answer. I felt very bad.
Nice place and many services, the staff are so nice. There is also a nice walking track.
Library was excellent especially for our 2 year old.
What a great library! Their children's section is the best I've ever seen. It is not the quietest place, but it is so welcoming to children, which makes them more likely to enjoy reading. I never have to drag my child to the library, he is always happy to go. There are study rooms that you can sign up for that give you a quiet space. They have a good selection of audiobooks, videos, movies, and games you can borrow.
I bring individuals with special needs to this library. Librarians Becky, Nicole, and Carol are especially helpful, friendly and accommodating to them. All of the other librarians are great too. The place itself is bright, clean and comfortable. We always enjoy our time here.
This is a great library that has a ton of selection of book and movies. I usually reserve things online, and they arrive from a database from many different libraries. The staff is friendly and I’ve never had any issues with late fees or drop off. I wish the WiFi was a little faster but hey it’s free!
Great, quiet place to settle down with some books or school work, other than an occasional noise of children playing. The staff are very personable, take time to strike up a conversation with them at some point and you may build a good connection.
