The bartender ruined the whole experience for us. To hear somebody talk about us to other customers, as if we aren’t a few feet away, is crazyyyy! “Some people walk through that door and I think ‘aww hell’”. I guess she meant because we were black. I didn’t ask what she meant. She would’ve received more than a $3 tip had her service not been so standoffish. Definitely won’t be returning.
This place was very, very welcoming to out of state people. We were apparently not one of the natives if you can follow my hint, but by the time we were forced to leave due to flight demands, we were family. I hope beyond hope I'm able to return here soon or at some point for the simple fact that in today's world there are many falsehoods put on who people are albeit due to region or plain ignorance. This establishment crushes any of those silly inflammatory notions that people of different cultures and/or ethnicities have nothing in common. In this amazing place, the feeling of comfort, t armed welcoming, warmth, and friendliness were all we were given freely from entry to exit. I highly highly recommend a visit to this establishment. -Dl
Awesome time with some folk I ain't seen in yrs. Enjoyed reminiscing & listening to some karaoke. Looks like a possible retreat away from the stress of the day on Saturday Nights. Show some luv peeps! "Sing a little song, get down 2nite!"
Making your way in the world today takes everything you got! Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name! Love this place! It's been my bar of choice for as long as I can remember. Good prices, nice pours, pools, darts, and TVs. Not too crowded and very relaxed vibe. The bartenders will take good care of you. If you're a drunk slob please go to the plaza; there you can act like a 22 year old. This is a place for folks to come and unwind, relax, shoot a pool and have a drink keep that other mess outta here.
I was very sad to learn that even in an amazing little town like Thomasville that not everyone is able to feel welcome. It was very clear that not everyone is welcome at LC's Bar. Besides my bf being the only one ID'ed at the door as the one black person in the party and the rest not being ID'ed even though he clearly is over 21 and the rest of us were not as clearly over 21. He was greeted inside by someone saying "whats that n***** doing here".I have nothing but love for Thomasville but to hear this in such an otherwise charming town was disheartening to say the least. In a great Christian town like Thomasville I would have expected to have seen a little more love. In the words of Matthew 5:44 "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you". I will be praying that those who share in this hatred of others just due to the color of their skin see the error in their ways. God bless.
The perfect place to get together with friends or that significant other for a few beers or drinks. The juke box has all the best tunes. They have a smoking area at the rear of the establishment where smokers can go and smoke while leaving the main area of the establishment 'smoke free'. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. They have pool tables and dart boards and nightly activities to keep you entertained. I'm elated that we have a clean, comfortable place to go to and relax and enjoy in our small town.
People were nice beer was really cold, they have a full bar too. Had the corn dogs and they were very good and crunchy. People were playing darts and pool. Hubby played all my favorites on the juke box. Had a very nice evening. Going to have to go back for trivia night and karaoke .
I come to Thomasville to visit family often. Saturday nights, I always get the hankering to go out. Years ago, this place sucked but the last few times I went it's been newly renovated and they even have karaoke now! GOOD PROFESSIONAL karaoke, too! This last time was really fun, tons of people. The bartenders were busy but very attentive. This may be a central Florida thing, but the only thing I would change is the fact that they call last call so soon. If Thomasville allows serving alcohol unto midnight why call last call at 11:15?
Very friendly place l! Fun with friends, super bartenders very engaged. Great prices on food and drinks. Really clean and inviting- have Pool, darts, game nights! !
