I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders in children, adolescents and adults. I have a wide range of clinical experience in various settings including hospitals, schools, residential treatment facilities, and community mental health centers.
My expertise includes the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, and specific phobias. My practice treats these populations almost exclusively. Approximately 60% of my clients present with a primary diagnosis of OCD or Obsessive Compulsive Related Disorders and 30% present with generalized anxiety and phobias.
Treatment is conducted within a cognitive behavioral framework and relies heavily on Expose Therapy & Response Prevention (ERP). I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, which research has shown to be more effective than sleeping pills.
