Le Jazz Cafe is a Charity run cafe, which means that the money from every meal goes to supporting jazz in our public schools.

Le Café Jazz has an incredible view overlooking downtown Columbia and Finaly park. This view becomes absolutely magical at night fall and is an excellent place for a date, an evening out with friends, or just to unwind after a long day at work. Every food item is prepared with fresh ingredients (and no preservatives) in front of the customers in the café by our own Chef Shirley Martin. Not only are Chef Shirley’s meals healthy and fresh, but they’re also very colorful and absolutely delicious! Our menu is ever changing and most of the dishes are invented by Chef Shirley, herself. We also have an excellent wine selection for our diners. Be sure to ask Chef Shirley what wine will best complement your meal!
On Friday Nights there is a live Jazz band that plays starting at 8:00. Sunday afternoon is family day; bring your kids and enjoy the park, balloons, and, of course, Chef Shirley’s delicious food! You can also rent our facilities for parties and celebrations (please email if you have more questions of this matter). The proceeds go to support Jazz in our public schools.
Parking
Parking is available to all customers at the garage next to the Arsenal Hill Community Center. Once you have found the café, simply turn at the Arsenal Hill Community Center and you will see the Garage on your right. It is only a short walk from the Garage to the Café.
About Us
The Skipp Pearson Jazz Foundation is a not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 music organization that has as its primary mission the preservation of live jazz music performances. Through a myriad of "public programs" the Foundation seeks to foster a greater appreciation for jazz music and a continuous participation in activities and special events which promote literacy in the Fine ARTS for all persons.
Your interest in the projects and programs offered by The Foundation assist in making the art of Jazz Music available for generations to discover and enjoy.

The Skipp Pearson Foundation was created to preserve, and to promote the artform of Live Jazz Music through the presentation of a myriad of educational program and projects for the benefit of the public.
Primary mission of the Foundation is to discover, develop, train and enhance the lives of all South Carolinians by providing on-going projects and programs that preserve the history and technical development of Jazz Music.
Additionally, the Foundation seeks to advocate, and to foster the highest level of training excellence and technical standards available to young performers desiring a career in the music industry.
Finally, the Foundation seeks to support career track pre-professional musical artists for the benefit of enriching the "quality of life" in all communities.
