Accessible. Wheelchair. Boat ramp for the public. Trailer parking. Open 24/7. Bay fishing. Small park-ish area, tables and restrooms. Never caught anything here, but it’s fun to come and chill out. Fairly clean. The ease and accessibility is my cause for the five stars. I love that Galveston has a place like this — inclusive for all. Right down the street is a great little bait shop. This last visit, all we did were feed the fish not intentionally. We saw good size fish around the rocks, but nothing was taking our bait. Every few feet, there’s pre-drilled holes there to rest your fishing pole in. A little place to deposit fishing line yours and found— please don’t leave it there, dispose of it properly. Just being outside, yet away from elements is a nice amenity to have in the city.
Beautiful view, close parking from pier to car if needed to go to car real quick. Friendly surroundings. Large section to fish also supplies discard for bad or cut lines. Trash are clean. Highly recommended will visit again
Good place for bbq with a view to the water.. People can come for fishing Toilets and parking available, but toilets are closed when it’s dark.. Free entrance Their are some benches to sit and eat
Nice parking, nice boat ramp, and excellent sunset. Nice protected area perfect for rowing.
Two long piers, a picnic park, and a public boat launch. Picnic area with charcoal grills. Right off 61st when you exit I-45. Two entrances, the first for boat launching and the second for the piers/picnic area. Look for the entrances on your right, because if you pass it, you have to go far and try a u-turn. Dogs on-leash. Restrooms are in that trailer building at the far south of the park. Come daytime or nighttime. Friendly people there. Feels safe. People are catching some big fish! One guy caught two huge garfish. I've seen trout, bass, snapper, and flounder. Picnic area: Clean. Covered. Small charcoal grills for cook-outs.
Beautiful park to walk and view scenery. Enjoyed watching sunset. There are couple of shaded pavilions, good for family to sit together. Tried fishing as well, no luck at all. NO RESTROOM- Park has a mobile restroom, but it was locked.
Not a bad spot to go fishing or to put your boat in the water. It's always pretty clean. Well lit at night. If you're looking for bait fish , drop a line under the pedestrian bridge. It's full of pin fish and croaker..... You get a bite every couple minutes....
Overall not impressed. The park had quite a few homeless people who will harass you while your trying to fish. The restroom trailer they have is an absolute joke all the lights fixtures inside have been ripped out, the floors are flooded with using and water, the entirety of the bathroom is just nasty. Wouldn't recommend fishing here no bites and it's just not a good environment.
Clean. Really good parking for vehicles with trailers. Good launch ramp. Park is clean. Just wish they had Port-A-Pottys at the boat launch area. Restrooms: Needs restrooms at the boat launch area.
Has bathroom's open @ 8am - 9am, place to coal grill, electric outlet sometimes works, Pier and boat launch. Got to help keep it clean. Some people keep it messy and sometimes bathrooms are messy to. Careful with bathroom's they get really HOT. Also there is water sport place next door and u get a chance to see ppl do a water hoverboard. Pretty dope.
