Every Single Hospital Employee was Awesome! Made it a less stressful visit by far. Every single Employee that reads this should pat yourself on the back! Thank You
Looks like Kate the house supervisor is about the the law that just past July 1, 2023 CS/CS/SB 1718 — Immigration. I didn’t know Lee Memorial Hospital hired bigots. On 8/13/2023 @ 12:15am is an entitlement joke. Her favorite quote is I understand your feelings and frustrations. Call her, I’m sure she’ll say the same thing. It’s not concern with patient care, nor takes responsibilities for her employees Isabella on the sixth floor RN. When it comes to government funding or financial help they very quickly to turn a blind eye to minorities. Their constant response is “I just got on shift and don’t know what’s going on”. I highly do not recommend this hospital. Please go to physicians region or North Collier. Where the doctors and nurses are more knowledgeable. And for those you who are self-pay and do not have insurance. You are protected by the emtala law in the ER, they cannot refuse you for having Medicaid or being self pay. They have to treat you if they don’t you can sue them
When you're sick the only thought you have is to get better. With the hope that the individuals assigned to your care help you to reach the goal of getting better. That was far from the case for my mother. Upon discharge for hopice care the nurse failed to give her belongs to transport, which she admitted to, and my mom's belongs were lost including her phone. I spoke to Dave from guest services several times in hopes that her phone could be found and nothing. He keeps putting the blame on transport instead of the nurse that failed to do her job. I suggested checking the cameras they had all over my mom's unit in which he promised he would and 2 weeks later no call back. This hospital is horrible from the care, to the rooms and then you have people stealing from the sick. Freaking deployable, I hope karma hits 10 times over.
AVOID this hospital and don’t ever go to their Emergency Room!!! I visited Lee Memorial Hospital on 12/28/22 and all went well until I was brought into a curtain-divided room and nasty Dr. Anthony R. Pine appeared. He didn’t know me, had not done any tests and instantly began treating me like I was a horrible person for coming there. He lectured me while I laid there in pain, belittled me for coming there and said “ Emergency Rooms are for emergencies.” So apparently, my severe rib pain, left chest pain, burning, the odd painful movement in my upper rib cage and the fact that I couldn’t get a pulmonary doctor to see me for weeks, as a new patient, wasn’t significant enough to go to the E.R. Room, according to Dr. Anthony R. Pine. He took a chest X-ray and discharged me without doing any other tests!!! I believe he wrongfully discharged me because I asked the X-ray technician for his name and complained about his cruel and condescending behavior while being wheeled to the X-ray room. When I was returned to my room, Dr. Pine came in and threw a prescription for ibuprofen at me. I argued with him about not doing any more tests and insisted something is wrong. He didn’t care, told me to go to a primary care doctor and recommended one!!! I live in another county where the doctors are lousy or too busy to see you for months. Dr. Pine left my room and I asked a staff person for the Director of the Hospital. A woman appeared who was the Lead Nurse and refused to get the Director. We argued over the discharge and no further testing and I told her that he’s not getting away with his abusive treatment. She defended him so I got up and said I will be going to another hospital and filing a complaint. She then followed me outside with her 2 goofy-looking kid security guards. I continued to complain about the nasty doctor and she condescending hollered “You look real sick” and waved her hand and shouted “Bye.” I’m a 63-year-old professional and successful women and will be filing a lawsuit for this cruel and unusual behavior as well as failure to properly treat me!!! APPARENTLY, YOU’RE NOT WELCOME AT LEE MEMORIAL E.R. UNLESS YOUR ARM WAS SEVERED, BODY CRUSHED IN A CAR, CAN BARELY WALK, ARE VOMITING OR BLEEDING PROFUSELY, ETC.!!! It appears that they’ve been rejecting and/or abusing patients for a long time based on their almost empty Waiting Room. I surprisingly waited at Lee Memorial Hospital E.R. for only about 10 minutes. I called another hospital and they had a 3-hour wait yet were positive about taking any patients in their E.R. for any reason.
I just had orthopedic surgery and a 4 day stay at Lee Memorial Hospital, and I wish I could give 10 stars. In the past 18 months I have had surgeries and stays at 2 other hospitals in Naples, and I was terrified to have to go to the hospital again based on those horrific experiences. I received the best care I could have imagined at Lee MH. Starting with the outstanding communication and pre-op care, the anesthesiologist and all the time he spent with me ensuring he did everything he could to calm my fears and address unpleasant post op conditions that could be avoided, to the excellent nursing team and hospital doctor on the floor, I feel lucky to have been there. I was treated with care, respect ,and dignity. I never had to wait a long time after calling for help. I received the details and level of communication I wanted in regards to medications, and was never made to feel anything but well cared for. I was blown away by the professionalism, positive upbeat energy, and obvious empathy for my situation among the nurses and nurse assistants. I am very grateful to them. If I have to go to the hospital for any reason, I will drive the hour plus to Lee Memorial rather than the 10 or 15 minutes to the hospitals in Naples, without a second thought.
As a frequent flyer, I'm very disappointed with my last few visits. I waited 3 hours until shift change to get meds or port accessed because the nurse was lazy and the experience I had this visit was even worse. There's a lack of compassion, care and poor communication between nurses and patient. For the most part I'm usually very understanding but due to the pain I was in, I had to go to a different ER and I haven't been here 30 minutes and I'm in a room at least.
The ER and MICU get five stars but unfortunately 3-North only gets one star so overall average of 3 stars. There are two nurses on 3-north that are wonderful Bob & Yusleisy, the rest are terrible especially Kristine & Cathy. The floor doctor, Dr. Ganatra... just horrible. Might come see the patient once a day but never communicates with the family. Thank God for MyChart or I'd have no idea what's going on. Even the notes leave me with more questions than answers most of the time. 31 days so far and have been told for the last two weeks that he'll get out "tomorrow" but not given any reasons why or what's even going on. 3 north could use Communication 101 and a course on bedside manners.
If you don't speak English, this hospital will ignore and neglect you. Go somewhere else My mother in law is currently staying there. Been there for 6 days. She does not speak English. But her children do. They wont communicate with her adult children whats happening with her or what her treatments are, even though they are aware she doesnt speak english. Doctors and nurses don't give her a translator, they ignore her when she asks for help so USE THE BATHROOM, and the just "forget' to give her breakfast and tell her she has to wait for lunch. After making complaints, the nurses laugh at her and her family. They even yelled at her daughter for asking for food for her. This hospital is a disgrace.
I had a sleep study done at Lee health hospital. Went in at 7:30 at night and left the next morning about 630. The staff were extremely helpful. Brought me to my room. I am handicapped so I couldn’t walk that far. They thoroughly explained the procedure. I was glad I brought my blanket because the room was cold. Awaiting results for new CPAP.
I had a liver biopsy done at Lee Memorial today. I can’t say how wonderful everyone was that was involved in my brief stay here. From registration, to the nurses and doctors that cared for me. What a great experience. Kudos to all that were involved in my stay.
