My wife is a stroke survivor with a great deal of carnage from her stoke. We moved down from NYC the last week of June and she required an ER and chose Lee Memorial Hospital. I read some of the prior reviews and was a bit hesitant on going there. Wow, was I wrong. Without a doubt the best ER experience we have ever had. It includes her 24 ER visits in NYC. You don't get out of there without a minimum 13hr wait, and 2-3 day wait to be admitted to a room. Not to mention the staff breathing fire trying to get to everyone. It's an intense experience. Dr Tan took care of us and his intelligence, wit, and cutting to the chase was exemplary. A great Dr and person. Liz and Vena our RN's exuded empathy, and great care. Aaron the tech was outstanding as well. I couldn't think of a negative thing yo say. As a veteran of ER's, best experience ever. Timely results, the right tests were run, and we were out in 3hrs. Not to mention security picking my wife up from her wheelchair and assiting into our car. In conclusion, Dr Tan's expertise and the caring staff made our experience a memorable one. Obviously, every ER visit needs the right context and I hope our experience will help others in choosing the right ER for their needs. With heartfelt thanks and gratitude, a huge thanks to the Lee Memorial Hospital ER team. Highly recommend them!!!! Joan Marie & Patrick
Staff does not listen to patients. Was referred from Lee Heath Urgent Care who had always been helpful. They wrote me a referral with specific information as to what I was to be treated for, they completely ignored the issue I was originally meant to be saw for. I came to leave a bad review and see that’s all they have is terrible reviews. Patients waiting 4+ hours to be seen in the waiting room with moderate to severe conditions being ignored by staff. Hygienically the floors are disgusting, debris and dirt haven’t been mopped the waiting room is crammed. Patients refusing to sit in the crowded space with other obviously sick patients being ignored by staff. Ongoing construction tape on doors and just overall unprofessional. These people do not care as stated in other reviews. AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Hospital is very bad with patients. No thought about us patients goes through some of these nurses minds. For several nights I called multiple times for my pain medication and no one preceded to come, I informed them multiple times and still no answer. All they had to say was "sorry." One patient was physically crying for about 45 mins and I get no attention even though i've called multiple times. Not sure how many nurses are working but i'm sure there is more than 1. Overall horrible service with patients. Doctors and Surgeons are very good but the nurses need more training.
If you are looking for caring people these are not them. Took my 19 year old boyfriend in with a toothache. He has never been to the hospital. Instead of allowing me to at least help him With intake i was stormed up to by a blonde-short-haired nurse at 6:30 am on sept 19th i was rudely gravitated out of the area without even saying goodbye.
My dad went to the emergency room on Sunday morning and when I picked him up latwr in the day he had a bladder infection. Well I picked up his prescription on Wednesday not knowing his nurse from the emergency room gave him the wrong prescription and not to take them He now has to go back to emergency and get a new blood test so they can give him amother prescription.
If your child had been involved in a horrible accident & put into a medically induced coma in SCIU & none of the staff were honest & forthcoming with the injuries she had incurred from flying thro the wind shield of a vehicleI’m not sure how you would feel. I know how I felt. Completely terrified, ignored & was made to feel that not only was I confused re the different info I was given, but it was none of my business. What?? They said it was because she was 19 years old and therefore an adult. She never signed or said they could talk to me. I wonder if that was because she had bleeding on the brain and was concussed when she arrived at the hospital via ambulance?? I never got to talk to any of the doctors. She was in a coma for 5 days and then moved to the icu and released 2 days later. She still has no recollection of the incident. She broke most of the bones on her left side and came home frightened and still in tremendous pain. Very disenchanted with LMH but maybe the staff there were having a bad week. Again.
If you can avoid this place- do it at all costs. Just filthy, people waiting hours to be seen. Feels like a jail. Very very horrible- So bad we left after three hours to wait for an urgent care to open. Shame on Lee County
Have had two opportunities in Lee Memorial Hospital within sixty days. Both times it took six hours total time to be triaged, seen, tested and treated and released. Both times the staff treated major issues although bleeding elbow, knees, and other superficial areas were never even looked at or treated or even bandaged.
I went to the emergency room on June 24 because I fell face forward and I knew I had a broken arm the hospital let me wait in the emergency room for over four hours before anybody even bothered to do anything I got an x-ray and then after the x-ray came then finally they came in and gave me a shot of morphine and only enough medicine for a couple of days three days no Dr. touch me the nurse never examined me I don’t see how anybody can be diagnosed without being examined by either a physician or nurse
Emergency room they denied me threatment cause i was already on threatment by pain management and hello is sunday, got a low back surgery and i got a spine cord stimulator that was the excuse to dont attend me and i show the aurhorization of my pain doctor that they can do me the mri and they send me home, they dont care in how pain u are so go to your pain doctor tomorrow ..... i was crying of pain thats inhuman...... i dont like hospitals if i go is because ir really neccesary i cant tolerate the pain.... no other word #inhuman
