Welcome to Legacy Chapels, we invite you to discover how we specialize in providing compassionate and unparalleled service to the RGV.

Description

Legacy Chapels is a new and contemporary style facility with three individual chapels each seating between 200 to 300 guests. If more space is needed, the three chapels can be opened up into one large chapel which may seat up to 800 guests.
State of the art technology provides for video presentations throughout the building as well as online streaming. Out of town guests who are unable to attend the service may be given permission to view the service online.
When not otherwise in use, one of the chapels can be set up as a banquet room. After a service, guests are able to return to Legacy for fellowship with relatives and friends enjoying refreshments and/or a meal.
The Legacy difference is that if you prefer, our directors will visit you at your home to make all of the necessary arrangements at your convenience. Every service is planned and coordinated in a way as to best honor the life of your loved one according your customs and traditions.

Thank you for the beautiful Celebration of Life For Hildebrando Lopez. We are so grateful to Legacy Chapels Funeral home for so many wonderful things. They are extremely professional, comforting, and caring. Excellent Communication skills by everyone. The time frame was always given so you know what to expect. The facilities are beautiful overall with the fabulous waterfall, the lighting, the temperature, even the kitchen area and the overall cleanliness is first rate. The videography was absolutely spectacular and the music was amazing. They helped with the obituary wishes in getting it in Sunday's newspaper on time. They assisted with getting the military honors ceremony. On behalf of the Lopez family, "THANK YOU" Everyone at Legacy. Keep up the great job ! I highly recommend Legacy to everyone.

It was a very difficult situation for us and we are still struggling in dealing with her loss but you and your staff did an exemplary job in working with us through this tough time. When my father was in hospice, my siblings and I had no idea what funeral home to partner with. Funeral homes, to me, usually are dark, stuffy, low ceilings... with lots of brown. We heard about Legacy via the Hospice company and thank goodness we did. The physical space is lovely. It has tons of light, tall ceilings, and lots of white. There are these 4 yellow paintings prominently displayed that are not my favorite - ha! But either way, the space is contemporary, modern, bright, and airy. This was perfect for our family who wanted to celebrate our father's life with loved ones. The Chapel is also very nice and has livestreaming capabilities unfortunately, for the replay the audio did not work, so if this is something you want, then I would recommend testing it. For us, it was secondary and not that important so it was ok. The staff was wonderful. Esther and Lee are warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and very accessible. And also very accommodating and flexible. Lee's brothers, Bianca, and Victoria were wonderful members of the team as well. I highly recommend Legacy Chapels. Hopefully, we won't be needing their services again any time soon! But we are so glad they helped us with our father's arrangements. Thank you all!

I cannot say enough good things about Legacy. My dad passed away the night before Thanksgiving and at a time where everyone was with their families we never felt like we couldn't get in contact with someone to answer any questions we had. I had stopped by another well known funeral home in Edunburg, and the prices were outrageous and I truly felt like that other business was taking advantage of people in horrible situations. The pricing at Legacy was reasonable and Mr. Castro and his team helped us through every step of the process. When there was a mixup with insurance, Mr. Castro helped us out once again. Losing a loved one is such an overwhelming time so having good customer service makes a huge difference in your stress levels. Highly recommend. Thank you Mr. Castro and team for helping us with everything from start to finish.

From the first time we stepped into Legacy Chapels we were comforted and felt at peace about the funeral process for our beloved family member. Marc Gonzalez, at Legacy Chapels, was extremely helpful with all paperwork, arrangements and even went out of his way to make ALL of our desires possible. The facility is elegant, clean and modern. The smell is pleasant unlike others that we visited. Our family member was well groomed, presentable and handsome for the open casket viewing. Although there was another service going on at the same time as ours everything ran smoothly and pleasant. There was enough room for our guests and the atmosphere seemed private and intimate. The final price for all services didn’t deviate from what we discussed on our first visit, didn’t have any hidden fees, and the price was very reasonable. Legacy Chapels’ dedication, care and sympathy during this time was exceptional. Thank you Marc, Lee and Legacy Chapels!
