Legal Sea Foods - Legal Crossing

Description

If it isn't fresh, it isn't Legal!

"Legal Sea Foods began in 1950 as a fish market in the Inman Square neighborhood of Cambridge, Massachusetts. It’s here that the “Legal” name became synonymous with quality and freshness. In 1968, our first seafood restaurant opened, right next to the fish market. The fish was simply prepared, either broiled or fried, and served on paper plates at communal picnic tables. Despite the low-key trappings, the food was second to none and word spread quickly. This early success led to further expansion and now, six decades later with restaurants along the Eastern Seaboard, the commitment to freshness and quality endures: “If it isn’t fresh, it isn’t Legal!”"

Great seafood place in downtown Boston. The lobster roll was buttery and delicious. The lobster ravioli was very good. It had some kick to it so pairing with a salad was a good choice. The drinks were great. I had a Kentucky Calypso and would highly recommend. The crab cake was pretty good. They have an awesome Boston Cream Pie.Food: 5/5
It was so tasty I went back a second time for lunch! My #1 recommendation is the mango lemon drop. It tasted just like mango, a dangerous drink. I sat outside as it was summer and it felt great. The service was also fantastic. Everything I had was tasty. The rolls were delicious, the crab cake was good - it was actually lump crab and 90% crab meat. If you don’t mind splurging the baked lobster was very yummy. It had a mix of lobster, shrimp and scallops on the inside with a buttery crust on top. If you don’t want to spend as much the lobster roll was equally delicious. Buttery and filling. As a tourist visiting downtown Boston, I was very happy with this dining experience!
Great chain. I always stop at one to get the clam chowder. Nice wait staff who were very helpful and fun to talk with. While I was here they had a special on the oysters during happy hour from 2 until 5.Food: 5/5
One of the popular places in downtown Boston, Legal Seafood. The modern bistro and sleek warm interior has an intimate feel. The service is great and their prices are reasonable. As for food, we had the following Shrimp Scampi, was a bit more al-dente than expected, overall dish was okay. Lobster ravioli. Crab cakes Overall great place would recommend
Ordered takeout at this place. The lobster was black inside. I feel like the lobster was still raw but called the restaurant to ask and they said it was absolutely normal???? I re-steamed it for 10 more min and it turns red at pic three, which should be like that. It was definitely not fully cooked but they don’t admit. Bad service, bad attitude. Will never visit again.
Great place to taste Boston local cuisine and traditional dishes. The feeling is very welcoming and confortable. They offer a bar, high table or lower table options, reservations are recommended. Service is very attentive and quick to respond. The fish and chips and the scallops dish are great options with the sweet potato mash. Enjoy this very centric and great restaurant!
If possible, I'd like to give you 0 points. The head manager at the bar ignores Asians *Be careful* 1. They don't take orders 2. They don't give me the food I ordered, so I thought the order went wrong and ordered alcohol. After that, he asked me if I wanted food, and when I answered, he gave me a toss. There was no alcohol after that. But all the prices were stamped on the receipt. The order of people who came much later than me, the food before and after I ordered came out quickly, and isn't the mistake of ordering 2 times only? It's not a mistake. It was a service that I wanted to get a refund on. It's the worst restaurant I've ever experienced in US. They ruined America's good image
It was excellent experience to enjoy lobster here. We ordered gulf of Maine lobster steamed and baked, the market price was 58 USD. This set can include two side dishes which were tasty as well. The interior design and atmosphere is lovely. The service lady was also very friendly and helpful. Really nice to be here.
Loved this place! The legal clam chowder is a must-have item in Boston, one highlight of our trip. The other items we ordered were also great, blackened sea scallop was sooo good and packed with flavour whereas the oyster was sweet and plump. Highly recommend this placeRecommended dishesNew England Clam Chowder
Came here because I didn’t wanna wait at Neptune. Monday night and almost a full bar. The staff was so great, was by myself at the bar and bartenders were interacting with all of us. I had the Mango Lemon Drop and arguably the best cocktail I’ve had ever! Cup of clam chowder and fried calamari were great as well. Good casual atmosphere. Never felt rushed and good place to relax and read a book. Would go back just for the Mango Lemon Drop :
