This park has mature shade trees which offers some nice relief during these hot months. There is a small cement walking path that allows you to get some laps in. There is a playground, restrooms, BBQ's, picnic tables and Little Free Library as well. Dogs on a leash are welcome please pick up after your dog, and there is a good amount of parking spaces in the lot. Playground: Great playground for kids. Dog-friendliness: Bring your dog, but they must be on a leash. Picnic area: Great picnic area. Some tables are in very shady places.
I love this park. I've been going here since I was a kid. Lots of parking and plenty big. They have a full basketball court and room to play football in the grass field area. Limited gazebos with more picnic tables. Big kid toys and a smaller playground. Only 2 swings with no baby swing. The wood chips in the playground can be annoying but the slide options are plentiful. Often on Saturdays there are 4 and 5 birthday parties at a time with plenty of space for all. The ice cream man always comes around. There are lots of trees and a kinda-big walking trail/sidewalk. Dog friendly. Restrooms don't have soap so bring sanitizer, but at least they have doors and toilet paper. They lock the gate to the parking lot at dusk but there is a lot of parking around the park, not just the parking lot. We call it Washington Street Park. Playground: They have a taller, big kid structure as well as a smaller structure for toddlers. 2 swings. Wood chips get stuck in sandals and Crocs. Restrooms: 2 stalls with doors. They almost always have toilet paper. No soap. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly, but please pick up after your dog. Picnic area: 1 large gazebo with multiple picnic tables and 2 smaller gazebos with a couple tables each. There are more tables under the trees and lots of space to pop up your own shade and chairs in the grass.
Great location tucked away in the midst of the grove. I actually never knew it existed. Glad my children and I were invited to an Easter celebration here because I'll probably utilize the space for my youngest son's bday coming up. Decent restrooms, no homeless camping out, numerous choices of places to sit or set up for a party, playground is all aged kid friendly, plenty of grills for bbqing, plenty of shaded nooks and crannies, and plenty of parking. I enjoyed that day and my kids had a blast. We'll be returning to this park for sure.
It's a nice clean park. Peaceful surroundings. Pergolas over many of the park benches/bbq picnic areas and lots of shade trees. It has a large basketball court and some open space too.
Grass and pathway nice. Playground a little dated. Bathrooms need renovation. Homeless people hang out at picnic tables and keep to themselves but just a heads-up
Very nice park always clean great place to walk your dogs or go for walk. Also nice to have family gatherings or lil picnic. They have bbq’s and tables also some covered spots. It’s very good size as well. Everyone who shows up is always friendly.
The park is beautiful the restrooms are horrible. They have no water in them they have no toilet paper. And i'm appalled at the fact that I spent a hundred dollar reservation and I had no restroom to go too.
really pretty park.. There is an area for people to walk, kids can scooter and bike. lots of picnic tables and trees.. the only complaint is in the summer because there is no shade on the playground the equipment is dangerously .. and it has wood chips instead on sand if your kid is wearing open toe shoes they will get splinters..
Food is very delicious. Personal are very friendly and make you feel at home. They greet every client be their name and also remember the clients favorite food or service and make their clients feel happy from the minute they enter Lon Grove cafe to the minute they leave the place.
Playground was ok. Doesn't have a swing for toddlers. Restroom needed to be cleaned. Park itself was clean. Nice basketball court. Grills were ok.
