School Programs
Wednesdays & Fridays
School programs explore topics ranging from abolitionism to the invention of electric lighting. Programs feature interactive tours and hands-on activities that emphasize active participation and teamwork. Teachers receive pre- and post-visit materials including science experiments and suggested classroom activities. School programs can be adapted for grades 4-12 to link with classroom instruction. Programs have been designed to fulfill New York State Learning and New York City Performance Standards.
Special Programs
Special programs include poetry readings, arts classes and exhibits, historic plays, literary discussions, concerts and other cultural events.
