I have been renting a unit here for my company for almost two years now and have always had a positive experience! Tracy and Mike have been great in assisting me with my needs and accepting the MANY deliveries I receive. They are always around to help and answer any questions I have.

We had a very efficient experience with the registration. Tracie and Mike ensure that you know exactly what you need in order to complete your confirmation. I highly recommend renting from Life Storage if you need a convenient storage solution near State College.
Great customer service! They got right to the point and the units are great!
Overall, a great place for local storage needs. Traci and Mike were extremely helpful and professional. I used the facility for about 15 months and found the interactions, responsiveness and customer service to be top notch. The only reason for not giving "5 stars" was the issue with a significant mice infestation. Even though I was in the indoor/climate controlled section, it appears that another renter kept perishable items in his/her unit. Sadly, this ended up ruining a good amount of my stuff. Not sure there was much else Mike and Traci could have done they replied to my concern immediately and follow-up with an incident report but nonetheless, a non-pleasant experience.
**update** After I completed an online Life Storage survey, I received a call from the new district manager concerning my issues. He promptly refunded both fees and agreed that the way the struggling manager dealt with the situation was not appropriate. If you are looking for a pricey closet and no one to communicate to other than the struggling local staff, then this is your place. I’m paying close to $160 a month for a basic 10’x10’ unit located in the far back corner. I leaned closer to the gate, the greater the price. The manager of this location struggles to keep matters straight. It started with mistakes in my contract. He had to straighten it out before signing it. Several weeks later, I received a voicemail from the struggling manager informing me he charged my account for a turnpike toll that I incurred while using their moving truck. Since I only put a few miles on the moving truck, and the nearest turnpike is a good 60+ miles from this location, I don’t think the turnpike toll belonged to me. That mistake was corrected after a few calls and pointing out the obvious. In addition, the struggling manager said he would set up a monthly email payment reminder. He didn’t, and I was charged a $30 late fee when I missed the due date by a couple of days. When I discussed the late fee with the struggling manager, he apologized for not setting up the reminder and told me regardless of his mistake, I was an adult and still responsible for paying on time. He refused to remove the fee. As a capable adult, I paid the late fee and the rent via an e-check ACH online. Days later, I received an email letting me know my e-check didn’t go through, and I was charged another $50 fee. The struggling manager couldn’t tell me why but thought I may have missed typing my bank account number. Since my email receipt only showed the last four digits of my bank account number, which were correct, do I try again and risk another $50 fee? Nope, I paid by credit card and avoided that scam. I left messages with the district manager and corporate office. Neither returned my calls. Avoid this questionable business.
