I agree only if zero could be selected. This place is a joke I have a family member who truly needs mental  help and has been in and out of lifestreams so many time and never receives the care that they need. Always just a 72 hour hold and then discharged. They do nothing, like by now you think they would had an assessment of the patient and determine that they are not mentally safe to be out in the world. Like are the doctors even qualified? Do they even have a license to practice medicine. Lake county mental health care is the worst. Please if you have mental problems do not go to lifestreams. Please go to another county for your families safety!  I just wanted to added to my review this is my dads house the day after Lifestreams released my daughter saying that she was mentally okay! My dad said that he picked up his granddaughter and in no was she okay! We have begged this company for help asking for her to be to be admitted to the state hospital for mental illness! But once again the system has failed us! No help just put on a hold less than 72 hours and collected the money from insurance. I really wish this facility could be held accountable for what they have done! There is no help for mental illness in the state of Florida. I am truly saddened by this!  Crystal

Ok let me start out by saying my child , is 13 years old, barley a teen and to get a damn phone call threw is a joke and the only time this place calls me is for me to approve them to shove more meds down my babies throat note I do understand my child needed help still currently in this hell hole, but depriving parents of information and the ability to contact the child I am already worried about it’s Bull, I would not suggest you sending your child to such a place unless you choose to have endless sleepless nights, my daughter should of been released yesterday surprise she wasn’t and I have no reasoning , this place has made me sick today alone I’ve called 22 times I am her mother and can’t even get someone to answer the phone you guys make me sick! Please if you guys love your children do not send them here unless it’s needed. She’s been at this place since Tuesday I’ve talked to her twice for a total of 13 minutes monsters make it this hard to talk to your babies I repeat do not do it!

Worst place to send a loved one for help. The get no treatment at all and just sit around all day. Only see a doctor one time and that’s it. Not therapy or anything. The care takers or nurses as they like to call themselves fight a cuss at patients and threaten to fight them all the time and don’t help at all. It’s make you anxiety and depression worse being there. When the have a patient they don’t want to deal with them just drug them up and lay them down and shut the door and not to be bothered by anything. When they have a patient who is difficult they put them in the day room with their mattress and just let them lay there and it’s ridiculous and the food makes you not want to eat at all. Staff is unprofessional and unhelpful.

Horrible place and horrible uncaring people that work at this facility. Did more harm than good. Extremely unorganized and depending on who you talked to you got a different story. Also, no confidentiality when visiting. We were told we had to use patient ID # or we could not talk or visit with them. However, when we went to visit they just asked for the name-and did this for every visitor that came in. It was a nightmare of a place.

I wish I could rate this place 0 stars! Absolutely insane I came here for help and left more traumatized than I’ve ever been in my life. I was in complete fear for my life. They evaluate every single person at intake and regardless of your situation you are grouped with everyone only separated by male/female. The people that are sent here because they are a danger to society are put with the people who come here seeking mental health treatment. The staff are unqualified only required to have a high school diploma or GED. I spoke to a therapist for maybe 5min and the only question she asked me was if I went to college. The staff are incredibly rude, raciest, and have no regard for anyone’s well being. They send people home so they don’t have to “deal” with them. I watched a girl go home who was a complete danger to society. They sedate people for no reason. I honestly don’t think some of the people I seen who have been there for months came in like that. The staff knows your every trigger and push every button they can to try and keep you longer. They drug you up on medication even when you tell the Drs you don’t want to take pills. God forbid you refuse to sign for them. If you don’t do as your told and stay calm you are treated horribly. Please do not come here, I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

If you TRULY care about your friends/family you'd take them anywhere but here. For starters you'll wait about 6 hours for intake and before you get a room. You're grouped with all kinds of people because they don't house separately so you could be grouped with paranoid schizophrenics, dangerous people, what have you. The staff is INCREDIBLY rude and not helpful whatsoever. The place is DIRTY. The food smells and tastes like it's been made in a barn. I had a hair in my food and when telling one of the staff members he rudely told me to pick it out and go grab another plate. You know those insane asylums back in the day where they had a reputation for being horrible and being horrible to the patients? Lifestream is your modern day insane asylum. This is the BIGGEST joke of a mental health treatment facility. Again, if you care about your people don't bring them here. You'll regret it

I would rate this place 0 stars if it was possible! My 5th and 6th time at a psych ward was at lifestream, back in April of this year. I Was baker acted to there from another facility that was horrible, wasn’t even there 12 hours the first time I was there, and after begging to not be sent back to residential facility I was baker-acted from, they still sent me back there even after I was told by lifestream that it is “in my charts” that I would not be sent back there…  I was sent back there from the residential facility after sitting in lobby for 6+ hours sleeping on a floor after the emergency room where I received exceptional care dropped me off. Same story repeats itself the next day. I got baker acted again. Got checked out at ER because I had a recurring infection that wasn’t treated properly at residential. Was screamed at and disrespected by staff the entire 3 days I was there 2nd time I was there. They would even roll there eyes at me when I would tell them not to call me by my first name multiple times, because my first name is a trigger for me due to being abused by an ex-boyfriend very badly! I witnessed elder abuse as well when a older lady who definitely had an eye infection was ignored and screamed at by staff when she would beg for help, even the simplest request to staff for a wet rag on her eye would turn into a screaming match between them, started by staff! Staff would say she’s fine and refused to help her, they wouldn’t even bring her a towel so I would wind up bringing it to her; because I don’t stand for elder abuse!! I would definitely not recommend this facility to ANYONE! They treat mental illnesses like they’re a stigma! It’s more like a modern day insane asylum than anywhere that would help anyone!!  Thankfully I got the help I needed after lifestream and haven’t been baker-acted since April of this year, but I still have nightmares of this place today, as well as of several other traumatic experiences I’ve suffered through and wanted help for at lifestream

They will abuse you in here. But, if you hold them accountable for abuse. You will be easily dismissed. Only if you have mental health issues. They use that stigma to their advantage. It’s very dehumanizing. This isn’t a safe place to heal your trauma or seek treatment. I personally suffer with C-PTSD. Needless to say, I gained more trauma after a 72 hour hold. Don’t send your loved one here if you truly value their mental health & overall wellness.

Our Daughter was backer acted 5 times to this place but is now in a Therapeutic residential home This place was wonderful  they went over and above to help her and kept me informed of averything the workers treated her and me with respect and where always caring. Marie Martin was absolutely amazing she was so helpful with giving me information and advice  she always answered my questions usually right away  I don't know how my husband and I could possibly be able to thank them for everything they have done THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HARTS.     LOVE YOU ALL

In my work, I am constantly asked for professional recommendations of behavioral health and social services, among other things. LifeStream has such a diverse array of services that it is the first agency I think of when someone asks. It's a good feeling to know that I can trust that people I have referred to LifeStream receive quality care and services.
