This hospital has been AMAZING! They have been caring for our 96 year old Grandma for a week now and we haven’t met one person we didn’t like. The staff is incredible! From the Doctors, nurses, support teams, housekeeping and the general visitor desk, they have been great! Better than the treatment we received at hospitals in Columbus area. Highly recommend this facility!
They don't honor they're payment plan and harass you for their money while they send you late bills like months months after the fact. There is no communication whatsoever! Highly recommend going to hospital in the next town or something, I don't recommend this one.
Had surgery in their outpatient center today. My fiance and step son 6yrs old came with. The nurses took the time to "involve" my step son in my care. They taught him how to put on gloves and let him "help" remove my IV. He left with a teddy bear and 2 other toys. He is now talking about becoming a nurse when he grows up. I have never experienced this level of kindness and patience at any other medical facility. AMAZING NURSES.
The nurses and staff here are amazing. My Daddio passed away last week and they were so kind. The nurse that unplugged him deserves at least a 50,000 dollar bonus. I think they all knew he was loved dearly. Thank you guys for all you did for my family
Worst Hospital experience EVER!!! I will NEVER go back!!! Their financial office cannot answer any of your questions. They literally have no knowledge on how the billing works and they refuse to let you speak to their supervisor. My daughter had really bad jaundice and the doctor failed to check her levels before discharging us. We ended up in the emergency room a few days later. The emergency room did nothing for my daughter, her jaundice was critical and they failed to put her under bilirubin lights. We ended up in Toledo Children’s Hospital where they were appalled by the lack of care that Memorial gave her. They said she was super close to needing a blood transfusion because they failed to take action in lowering her bilirubin levels.
My mother is 81 yrs old, and is in need for home healthcare, has a Dr order for this. But because she doesn't conform to their standards they refuse to help her. That's not what nurses or healthcare is supposed to be about, the home healthcare for this hospital is a joke, and should be ashamed to turn away an 81 year old patient in need of help.
Dr appointment was at 9:45am. Here it is 11:15am and still have yet to be seen. This seems to happen every time we go to Lima Memorial Health System. What is the point of having an appointment when you’re constantly running 2-3 hours behind, and then say give you time to go over my results! That was the purpose of the appointment. You literally have to cancel your whole day just to be seen for 5 mins! There is never an apology or anything. But i guarantee you if you are late or miss your appointment they are charging you a fee. SMH do better.
If your regular doctor is in the Memorial buildings they are now charging a $39 room and equipment fees on top of all the other charges. This is not covered by insurance, at least mine. I think this is an absurd charge and borders on price gouging.
I brought my girlfriend to the ER here and we left more confused and stressed than we were when we came. If you're having some sort of issue that doesn't require immediate attention it would be tremendously more beneficial to drive the extra miles to a different hospital. My girlfriend and I are young college students and from the start of our visit it felt like we were neither respected or listened to. They didn't explain the tests they were running and when her charts came back normal, they dismissed us from the hospital saying that everything was fine. Everything was not fine. Her problem has continued with no answers and no advice for how to deal with it. We now have to pay for another trip to a different ER that will give us any emotional or physical support and guidance. On top of the lack of help, there were only 1-2 employees who were even remotely nice. We are both extremely disappointed in this hospital. Avoid it if you can.
My family has suffered a multiplicity of health issues recently. Our team of practitioners from the primary care providers, specialists, surgeons nurses have all been extraordinarily caring and top-notch. A special shout out to Dr. Colvin, Dr. Gardner and their behind the scene team of nurses, anesthesiologists etc.
