Had a enjoyable meal here. The food and cocktails were solid, and our group was particularly pleased with the pan roasted mussels and scallops. The main ding against the restaurant is the service needs some refinement. We felt rushed through the meal and nearly all of our entrees came out just as we began eating the appetizers, leaving very little space on the table. It felt like that they are used to people rushing in and out to catch performances at Lincoln Center. In spite of that, still a pleasant experience and can't beat the location if enjoying a show nearby.
Great food, beautiful setting, pleasant staff, central location. Mid to high price point. Good first date or any date place to grab a drink or a meal, for dinner and a show.
I absolutely loved my experience here while visiting New York, and I will definitely come back. Our waitress was really friendly and helpful and the food was even better and cooked to perfection, also if you can, I very highly recommend the clam ravioli. The place itself is enough reason to go back since it has a beautiful setting.
I went here visiting my cousin at Juliard. I got the steak and the portions were a little small but delicious. The main server was a little distracted and hard to find but the man who brought water was so nice and I drank a lot of water and he was a dear. It was a lot for a little but it’s right inside the Lincoln center and the food is good. Just don’t go if you’re starving.
Dishes are consistently well executed. It’s ‘s a well thought out menu and the service is prompt and friendly. We had an expanded concert subscription so were in dining in restaurants around Lincoln Center since October; we finally concluded this was the best option so have returned 5 times; never disappointed.
We went here for the usual reason, which was that we couldn't get a reservation at either the Lincoln Ristorante or The Grand Tier Restorant. The Lincoln Center Kitchen is hit or miss. Last time it was emphatically miss; this time a hit. We got a good waitress, the cousins were pleasantly spaced, the check was taken care of promptly, smiles all around. I guess you can gather that is not always the case. For vegetarians, the cauliflower steak is good, though only if you like curry and other eastern spices. For non-vegetarians, the prix fixe is a good deal, though the selections are quite limited. And the menu hasn't changed I years.
Always consistent food, but it's the service Monika is always our server that stands out. My in-laws have been season subscribers to the NY Phil for 50 years, and the always want to eat here prior to a concert. They the grilled chicken, Ed's crab cakes, the steak, the jumbo prawns, and, well, everything we've every had! Most items on the menu are always there, but there are some seasonal items. If you are seeing a concert, you can't go wrong with this place, tucked right behind the box office and between the two cafes in David Geffen Hall formerly Avery Fisher Hall.
This place is pretty subpar. Maybe a 3 star if the food was a third of the price, but a 1 star it is. I ordered the cod and my wife ordered the scallions. Both were fine. Well, average. Well, edible. But right off the bat we knew something was wrong because the food came out way before the drinks. Not the bartender’s fault, the food literally arrived within a minute of ordering. Um, how does that happen? Well oiled machine, I guess. Not really my thing to feel rushed. What was the bartender’s fault the sommelier’s really was the atrocious Pinot Noir. Bad bad bad.
Over priced for under cooked food. We needed to send my wife's dinner back because the vegetable was raw. Even when they came back the veggie wasn't much better. You would do better eating at restaurants around the area; better value.
"Cleaning staff" Literally Used the Dirty Napkins from the Diners Next to Us Who Left, To Clean Their Table, and Then Set It for The Next Seating! Gave Us An Absolutely Disgusting Feeling. Not worth $120 for dinner for two no alcohol, plus tip. Only the location convenience makes it worthwhile. Our two main dishes were not as we requested they prepare them. Salmon came out undercooked and the scallops were just "meh" not caramelized at all. Dessert was miniscule. Unattentive i.e. Overworked Waiter.
