Lincoln USDA Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution that exists solely for the benefit of its members.
Here’s what that means for you:
You can save hundreds — even thousands — of dollars a year, depending on what services you use. That’s because profits are often returned to the members in the form of lower service charges, lower loan rates, and higher dividend rates.
Lincoln USDA strives to offer exceptional products and services to our members while maintaining strong financial responsibility.
Our members own Lincoln USDA and have a say in how the credit union is run. You have voting privileges and may also run for the volunteer positions on the Supervisory Committee and Board of Directors.
And it means you can come to us for financial advice or help, knowing that we have your best interests in mind.
Like other financial institutions, credit unions are highly regulated. The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is an agency of the federal government; it recently increased deposit insurance up to $250,000, the same amount that’s insured at banks.
As for our history, Lincoln USDA was founded in 1939. For 78 years the commitment to “people helping people” still exists….and always will.
