The original Linden Cafe served up soul food for a number of years in the Crosstown Building at Cleveland and 11th avenues. It closed in the mid-2000’s and in August of 2009, Mayfield Enterprises came in as new restaurateurs, re-opening with a renovated dining area and some updated menu items as well as traditional Linden Classics. As a Chef, successful caterer and armed with many years in food service and business operations, Michael Mayfield, his wife Tamara and crew work to keep the Linden Café a thriving community business. Its long-standing history and neighborhood pride are just as important to them as to all those who have supported the Linden area business over the many years.
In 2012, the business again changed ownership to 617 Enterprises, a RAMA Company, and began an overhaul of the kitchen facilities and dining experience. Today's all new Linden Cafe is the marriage of the culinary skills of Chef Mayfield and the business acumen of local Entrepreneur and Consultant, Mo Wright. Reopening in the fall of 2012, guest can expect a wonderful dining and customer service experience all while enjoying a relaxed, business friendly environment.
