Nice campground by lake. Sites are pretty close to each other. No water, vault toilets only. Lake is good for fishing, but not clean enough for swimming. Be sure you make a reservation ahead, as it's usually fully booked. We stayed at yurt, which was nice and cozy, but again, sites are really too close to each other.
We stay here every year. Our camp host just badgered everybody this year. We paid for 2 camp sites for 2 weeks. We paid $130 extra for parking when the host told us additional vehicles are $10 per night. The camp host woman with the shaved head ran several people out of the campground. We paid a total of $634 to stay 8 nights. We ended up leaving too. She was VERY unwelcoming! We have camped here for the last 8 years, never again. The past camp hosts were always helpful and welcoming. This used to be one of our favorite get aways with our family.
My family & I spend a week every fourth of July here for the last 4 years. Each time the experience is great; however, this year it was ruined by the CAMP HOST Melissa. She harassed both my parents and our camp site, searched for things that people were doing wrong, micromanaged and was super controlling. She even kicked a single mom and her two boys out of the campground for taking a dip in the lake. Apparently the lake access is for campers at link creek only. We have never seen someone so power hungry in our lives. We ended up leaving three days early because we couldn’t relax. Every time she was out on her rounds she would impose herself in our areas, stating she needed to “inquire” about our camping equipment. I’m sad to say we will not be returning due to our experience.
Good campground, well maintained. The bathrooms would benefit from some form of a hand cleaning station, even just hand sanitizer attached to the the wall would make my review a 5 star..
Stayed in Yurt #31 during the off season only yurts are open year-round. Campground picks up road noise from Hwy 20, but only the occasional air-breaking semi was bothersome. Nice having The Suttle Lodge nearby for food & drinks. We really liked the Yurt, and the wood stoves are a nice addition. First night was pretty cold due to very strong winds, but second night we actually got the yurt too warm. Our yurt had a Jotul stove, and it happens to be the exact same model we have in our home. They are nice though small - large pieces of wood don't fit, but the one in our yurt had been modified; the glass had been replaced with a metal plate, but the plate left significant gaps. This, combined with the door rope/seal needing replacing, led to a stove that didn't close down as well as it could have. We also arrived to find the stove still had ashes in it, and there was not metal bucket or scoop to clean it out. Upon trying to do so, we discovered the ashes in the stove were also still hot. Would've been nice for the camp host to take care of this ahead of time, especially if they aren't going to provide utensils to allow guests to do so themselves. One other criticism would be the dumpster area. There were like six dumpsters, but they had chairs and all kinds of trash lying around them. Again, camp host could be a little more proactive IMO.
Wonderful camping sites, some with lake views. Fishing, boating and hiking are some of the activities families can enjoy. Short distance to gorgeous Suttle Lake Resort Lodge. Great food and Beverages.
Link creek is a wonderful place for camping and fishing. Plenty of space for water fun as well. The day staff on hand is very helpful and supper friendly. Has lots of info.
Gorgeous setting. Clean sites and facilities. There's a small hiking/single track path around the lake. Boat ramp and fish cleaning station too. Firewood can be purchased they the camp host who's quite friendly for $6. Mosquitos were present but not bad when I visited. Looking forwards to staying again!
Very quiet, great amenities. Beautiful scenery. Kayaking/hiking was awesome
Perfect for big travel trailers, an easy bike ride around the lake at 3.86 miles, a resort with ice and beer, and well maintained grounds. No RV dump and motorized boats allowed so be careful in the h20
