Great place to host large events. I come here to play soccer sometimes and the fields are great, they have many different sizes and there are lots of those fields. I also like the volleyball courts because there are some by the playground which is asking huge and some by the water which has a nice view of the lake. The actual beach is big and as from what i have seen recently the water quality is improving. I came recently for Diwali at the beach which is a huge Hindu event they host yearly. Overall it’s a great place to spent time
$10 parking every weekend -even when it's not a holiday or holiday weekend- is unpleasant, and hasn't helped with the large crowds during holidays and nice-weather days at the beachfront. Otherwise, I love this place. It's generally peaceful, the beach stays pretty clean. It's dog-friendly. They have kayak rentals available, too. There is a boat landing just before the bridge on El Dorado Pkwy. They have a ball field, several sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, and trails to roam through.
Clean park with ample free parking. Lakeside beach, amphitheater and two volleyball courts. Open atmosphere with few soccer fields. It’s having a children play area. Sometimes gets busy in the evening. It has a pavilion with bbq area. It has clean restroom and lots of open areas to relax.
Oh, I can't say enough, we went for kayaking and swimming it’s muddy water had Outshine popsicle bars, mango and orange there's so much we can do here. Playground for both adults and kids, swim, walk, boat, kayak, picnic many more..., and I'm definitely coming back. If there is an event going on the other side of the area parking spot is hard to find. Note - No camping No grill and No glass horrible nasty smell restroom please avoid.
It’s a great park with so many options. Love the trails around the lake. Get out there in mornings and you could just keep walking the trails. Most part of trails have good tree cover which is not very common in north Texas trails.
Beautiful beach, with plenty of activities for all ages, sunset view is very beautiful, Apart from beach, ther is park for children’s ,volleyball court and outdoor shower , everything is clean and neat except restroom.. u have to pay for car parking.. Visible and frequent police presence friendly officers keeping beach rules enforced for all.
I’ve been visiting this beach for over 10 years. It’s still a nice, cleanISH lake beach compared to others within an hour drive. I would give it 5 stars except the last couple of years it’s become extremely overcrowded with all the people moving to Texas. I don’t even really mind that. What I DO mind, is the $10 parking fee, and that doesn’t guarantee a parking spot and yes, they tell you that. No grills are allowed, you can only use theirs. Even while camping. Yep, you read that right, no frills, even while camping you can camp for a fee Cops are patrolling constantly, which you would think is great, except when we came yesterday the cops were literally bugging people doing nothing wrong. There was a girl listening to her music on her phone, barely noticeable at all, and they told her to turn her music off. I don’t get it. I get that radios are loud, but a quiet phone speaker with some light music that’s quieter than speaker conversations around is just ridiculous. I’m talking 2 cops standing above this teen girl, hands on hips, just for music. Like, come on. If you have kids, they’ll have a blast for sure, on the shore, but In the water, watch out for the floating beer cans. Otherwise, a decent place to come spend $10 to laze around for a day.
I go to little elm for the sand at the Lake. And love going out to the lake to spend the day with family. 10$ gets our whole car in. There is not only a cool playground, but this place has lots of volleyball nets set up. They have rentals for kayaks, and waterboarding. Of course if you have your own water crafts they have docks and ramps for that as well. This is a nice little area that I just learned about, and love it. It's wonderful seeing the sunset out here. I also enjoy seeing all the families that come out and play together. Playground: The playground is pretty cool, lots of climbing challenges for the tiny parkour people, in our lives. No complaints there. Only about having to leave, sometimes. lol Restrooms: Restrooms are in good and clean conditions. Plenty of room to change if you need to. They also have some outdoor showers, to wash off all the sand. Dog-friendliness: It is dog friendly, leash only. No free range dogos, though. Picnic area: The picnic areas are shaded which is a plus. The picnic areas are well maintained. Lots of people bring their own shade down by the water and their own floats as well.
The trail is pretty cool but the park is fantastic . Very large park multiple of things for kids to do with clean grass-free volleyball courts. Great view of the lake. And just a small walk over a beachfront swim area with more volleyball courts. They provide free kids life jackets. There was also a Ready ice machine and restaurant kayak and canoes rentals. Also had a few pavilions. What else can be missing from a lovely family lake beach day. Warning No tents on the beach; make sure to bring sunscreen because I saw no shade. We had a blast and look forward in going back.
Great place to take the family. Bring some chairs, blankets, canopy tent, and have a picnic. Kids have the water to play in, or they can play at the playground . It's also a beautiful trail where I jog. Playground: Clean and has a lot of different obstacles that will keep the kids busy Restrooms: It's generally clean, but not always. It's what you expect for a park. Dog-friendliness: Dogs can walk the trail. There are a couple of stations for you to pick up after your dog. Picnic area: Clean and plenty of space for a party or a gathering
