Ok, full disclosure, I do not like 83 degrees bakery. I don't know what it is, I just can't dig it. But this place - is something I can't get behind, very light fluffy and not as sweet, and cream puff with either matcha, chocolate, or vanilla are worth checking out alone. The service is hit or miss, one lady was super sweet while some seemed over worked, and it is pricey - unfortunately- but still recommend if your in the area

We stopped by for their famous "wife cakes". At 5:30pm we were lucky to be able to buy a box of Wife Cakes, just out of oven. OMG they are hot and crispy, Yum Yum!!! And for a dozen, price is still low at $9.99 as of September 2022. When at home, keep them in refrigerator and toast it a bit for a few minutes and serve, they taste just as great as freshly backed. Mini pork sung cake is also recommended, mixed salty seaweed and pork sung flavor. My daughter loved it a lot. We will definitely stop by again in the future when we are passing by the store.

Cost-effective bakery in Alhambra. The crepe cake is my fav They also give their hit product wife cake for free if you check-in via Yelp. Worth having a try if you pass by.

Pre ordered a taro filled birthday cake for my dad. It was nicely decorated with fresh fruit and appreciated that they placed a "happy birthday dad" sign in Chinese. The cake came out delicious. Would definitely come back for more birthday cake orders.

The wife cakes here are a must try, especially when they’re fresh out of the oven. It’s so addicting that getting a dozen isn’t enough to last me. Every time I share with my friends/family, they always have positive responses. The wife cakes have winter melon on the inside. It’s flaky and not too sweet, just perfect. I also love the crepe cakes here. The cream to crepe ratio is perfect, and it also has the perfect sweetness. There’s multiple flavors, but my go to is the vanilla or mango.

1 star was for the service. The store was not busy and one staff seems very irritated when asking her questions regarding the birthday cake and walked away with a flat face lol all I’m asking were 2 questions what flavor is this and do I need to order the birthday cake or can I take the one they showcase. And I did this politely. So Spent 61 dollars on the store and asked for some napkin and told me it’s “outside” as I approach “outside “ which was the front door I didn’t see any napkin only a roll of bounty which I assume for cleaning so I asked politely where can I find napkins. The staff answered “isn’t this right here” and point at the bounty. I was trying to explain that I am looking for napkins , I never even get to finish my sentence she already walk away. If it’s really busy I understand. But still don’t understand why. Maybe she had a bad day. I haven’t tried their food yet therefore I can’t comment anything yet. But even if the food is that good I don’t think I would come back.

Yesterday morning, I bought two fresh vanilla cream puffs, two egg tarts, one pineapple bread and one whole wheat bread. The wheat bread was extremely soft but the pineapple bread just was ordinary. I ate one cream puff and egg tart which reminded me the wholesome nostalgia Hong Kong bakery favor. Egg tart was crispy and egg filling was fresh. On the other hand, the cream puff were tasty with the freshly made crest and sweet vanilla cream filling. This morning I ate my last cream puff which became soft but the creamy filling still was nice.

Little Swan is a wonderful bakery in Alhambra, offering a large variety of breads and pastries. Most items are what you would find in a Hong Kong style/ Chinese bakery: many contain ingredients like green onion, garlic, red bean, nuts, honey, etc. There are also cream filled pastries and cakes. Because of the current pandemic drinks are not being served. Service is helpful and polite.
